I think there is a big difference between buying a house in some quiet spot, and then some years later some nuisance/noise/disturbance arises, Vs buying a house where that nuisance/noise is long established. The latter can fuck off.

Yes but is it reasonable to buy a house adjacent to a road and then complain that cars drive on the road? Things change. Such is life.

Quite a lot going on there I love the smell of boundary disputes in the morning. I imagine the dispute is with neighbours not boaters. Boaters, however, could be a convenient outlet for some idiot with too many problems in their life. When coming across such people the key is to be glad you are not them.

The owner of Tyrley Wharf doesn't NEED to "trade off" anything with the C&RT(Ltd) megalomamaniacs -- HE OWNS THE WHARF, and therefore has an undeniable right TO MOOR HIS BOAT THERE, AND TO DO JUST WHAT HE WISHES WITH THE PLACE without mealy-mouthed arseholes like you and the C&RT(Ltd) management quibbling about the man's entitlement to do whatever he so wishes with his own property.
If, by any chance, the present owner of Tyrley Wharf is reading or has been made aware of the petty minded twaddle that's been directed at him concerning this matter, I would be very happy to pass on all the information I have relating to the C&RT(Ltd) End of Garden Mooring pseudo-legalistic nonsense that was gathered by a late close friend and associate of mine relating to BWB and C&RT(Ltd)'s high-handed, and generally illegal, approach to the exercising of rights over private land adjoining canals and other navigations.

Quite a lot going on there I love the smell of boundary disputes in the morning. This search was using a radius of 15 metres. That is 50ft so the circle diameter is 100ft. Within that space there are several different title registers. It isn't as simple as saying the owner can do what they want unless you actually have the map and the owner details.

According to C&RT the gent DOES own the winding hole and it is clear he has placed his boat to prevent its use as such and since I was last there chained it off as well (see wandering above). There is no argument that he has the right to do this, and it isn't a particularly busy or crucial turning point ... however all previous owners have permitted its use and there appears no obvious reason to stop it. I hope the negotiations with the land owner are fruitful, whatever is or isn't behind the process. Rog
