Anyway yes they were warned. And there's no way I would have got into that thing. I did the Great Pyramid tour once; never again. Apparently there are some things which could get to the sea floor there but they all appear to be military. And it is Β£200k to have a ride apparently. I suppose if they get 96 hours out of it that is a better deal than just 8 hours. Yes if they get out alive they will have some stories to tell.

I doubt they could do much more than observe.Β It does seem doubtful. Still, at the worst there's a whole new reason to explore the wreck. A new addition to the graveyard? It might be miles away due to currents. Presumably if it had surfaced the PLB or EPIRB will have activated so it must be still underwater. Ten tonnes does seem heavy. How do they surface it? Presumably it relies entirely on the thrusters so if these became fouled it would be stuck. Or can they loose ballast to make it buoyant. They must also have some sort of flare which releases smoke on the surface like professor Calculus did in the secret of the Unicorn (Tintin book).

Apparently 22ft long so presumably has facilities of some sort.
People pay Β£200k to go 2 miles under the sea in a ten tonne unit controlled by a playstation joystick.
Is this one for the Darwin awards?

So basically you are trusting your life to these things I wonder how they deal with tiny fish.

I am sure we have a member who would be able to undertake this rescue but unfortunately the submersible does not have three weeks' supply of oxygen.

96 hours for 5 people.
Presumably that means if 4 of them were to die the other one would get 480 hours which would be 20 days.
Hmm.
Also there must be food supply for 5 persons for 96 hours and water which would translate similarly.
I suppose if you killed the other inhabitants you would get locked up if rescued but it might be worth a gamble.

My guess is they are all brown bread already.

I suppose there would be issues around decomposition of the corpses. It could be a bit nasty in a number of different ways.

It must be bloody cold if they have lost power.

Under Andrew's plan you could strip the corpses for extra clothing though.

Heβs not taking into account the extra food that would be available. I wonder what the toilet arrangements are?

Basic.

Yes, but you canβt exactly bucket it and chuck it. I suppose the biggest problem with a rescue is anything capable of going that deep, might not be near by.
