And the comments section says... tough shit, suck it up! Now there's a surprise. It’s the internet what do you expect. There always been that attitude that cc’ers are getting something for nothing. There’s nothing more annoying it seems for British people. It's typical of any given news website. The actual subject is the least important aspect for all concerned.

The article stating ‘Huge increases’ is over-egging it slightly at about a pound a week on top of the annual licence increase.🙄 In the first year. Rising thereafter, as you know. And it won't end at the conclusion of the Parry Five Year Plan. The only interesting aspect of all this will be the legal challenge, if it happens, on the basis that it's unlawful to create a tiered licencing system based on status. I can't work out if it's surprising or not that a large collection of people directly concerned with the changes are actually in support of the initiative. It's like turkeys looking forward to Christmas.

Maybe full length boats ie 72’ should be charged extra as they bang into the gates more often?

ty something. Never too old to take the piss out of someone up their own arse with a massive sense of self-righteousness. It's great that you acknowledge that a massive sense of self-righteousness is a key element of your approach to reality but there's really no need to flag it up yourself. Unless you've entered therapy. Jeez 3 days of thought to come up with the old “let’s deliberately misread a post to turn it back on the author” trick. How very pathetic, though not surprising.

Nope, just read it back again and it's definitely what you said. And in the interests of further humour at your expense: "My name is Tellymackus and I have a massive sense of self-righteousness". < applause applause applause >

Maybe full length boats ie 72’ should be charged extra as they bang into the gates more often? Well they already are, having the longest boats. Now, what about widebeams, they scrape both gates and bang both sides.

Wide beans use less water than a single narrow going through a broad lock.

Wide beans use less water than a single narrow going through a broad lock. Also widebeams can only use one third of the network. So should have a 66% reduction in licence fees.

I see you haven’t bothered to explain why you think the cc’er surcharge is a good idea even though it’s going to cost crt more than it is ever going to raise? Ps continuous dumpers like yourself are the worst offenders, so should be singled out for the largest surcharge. Your leisure boat is taking up a towpath space that someone could be using as a home. Your the lowest of the low.

Although I suppose that one didn’t take you 3 days to think up. You are improving. Have a gold star - for foolishness. You can add it to your large collection.

Has your account been hacked by the Dunk? Maybe not, he would have used an even bigger font and with judicious underlining.

Your the lowest of the low. While not taking up all the space within a pound, that would be selfish, dumpers keep everyone happy, me, because I can, and miserable twunts because they have something to be miserable about. Ive yet to see any evidence to back your Cost More arguement, other than wishful negative thinking.
