Going back to the trolling motor thing. This one on eBay is a gem. Its got the electronic speed controller. Brilliant outboard and cheap. I asked the seller if they would do parcelforce but no reply. Not much.
Its not really worth comparing electric with petrol in these things.
The main benefit (which I like a LOT) is there is no noise.
In technical terms its about 3/4hp but the units are geared and propped differently.
For a canoe if you just want to glide around quietly one of these is unbeatable but if you have a dinghy and need poeer petrol is the answer.
