Sorry I started this thread it just gave dunkley chance to pontificate again. Although I did get the info I needed not from this forum though.so I’ve given the thread a more appropriate title and I’ll leave it at that. I was just thinking seen as we have a “canal expert,” on board atm. It might be worth just go through the section 8 process for the benefit of anyone who might be under enforcement and not understand the process. As I understand it at the moment crt still issue six month licences as an initial (naughty step.) They are doing away with this although I can’t remember when. They are also doing away with the reminder letters. So I suppose the first step will be the refusal to licence their boats. Or maybe a letter on the boat? Now Im only an insignificant nobody so I’m sure I’ll be corrected. But I’m posting this to open the debate up. As I understand it crt take people to court for not having a licence. (Not with standing that it is crt who have refused to licence.) unless this is challenged before the court appearance then the reason for the refusal to licence is not an issue for that court just the issue of having a licence or not. It seems that this is how most people loose their boats. They go to court thinking they are going to challenge evidence about how far they have moved, when because they haven’t challenged it before that’s not the case. So what is the name of this challenge that has to be submitted. I was talking to a boater today but couldn’t remember what it’s called, does anybody know?

Presumably the Boat owner in question is allowed to make a representation in the form of a witness statement.

I don’t think it’s a judicial review, where’s a canalboating expert when you need one?

Ultimatum?
You just write to the Master and say 'If you don't do [required action] by [date] then you will be in serious trouble both financially and personally.

Agreement was more amusing in a number of different ways but denial can't last.

Try not to take things so literally and go and have a chat with a qualified individual about ASD. This is not Azimuthing Stern Drive by the way.
You are exhibiting symptoms of ASD. I would say PDD NOS as there is no unusually high IQ prevalent. The hypersystemising is present as is the verbosity. A lot of ASD people will tend to present as ultracrepidarians on internet forums. It is an obvious outcome..
Knowing about this can be life changing.
Yars ago there was a school of thought which said that ASD was caused by 'refrigerator mothers'. I believe this theory has been comprehensively blown out of the water from further study.
If you want to have a better life it really is worth looking into.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pervasive_developmental_disorder_not_otherwise_specifiedCharacteristics of many individuals with PDD-NOS are: Communication difficulties (e.g., using and understanding language)[7] Difficulty with social behaviorUneven skill development (strengths in some areas and delays in others) Unusual play with toys and other objects Repetitive body movements or behavior patterns Preoccupation with fantasies that interfere and that are not normal to have at a certain age depending on social, cultural and religious norms. Unconventional perception of the worldMaladaptive daydreaming, excessive daydreaming interfering with daily life (my bold indicating characteristics that have led to my conclusion. We would need to discuss childhood in order to ascertain toy use behaviours). I can consult on this on a voluntary basis initially. 5 minutes or half hour?

Ah yes as usual making it all about himself and proving how wonderful he is. Maybe you would like to enlighten us all. Especially taking into consideration any novice boaters who might be reading this. So what is the correct procedure, if one should find one’s self under enforcement?
