Or, as in your original statement: Get what you work for, which is what you deserve, and only buy what this enables you to afford. That's hardly the tory ethos, get as much as you can with as little effort on your part as possible, get the unfortunate to do the work for as little as possible while contributing as little as possible to society. . In essence, Tories stand for folk standing or falling, depending on their efforts. Labour, in essence, stand for the fruits of success to be shared. You are arguing for what is the very ethos of the Tory party, whilst claiming to support Labour.

Its a struggle for you I know. I want the fruits of success to be shared more equally, especially to those in need, after all it's the working man that earns the profit, in many cases obscene profit - Amazon etc, turnover exceeds a small country. There's nothing in Labour ethos to stop people doing as I have to provide good homes for others and support healthy and creative activities for the community (the one you and Maggie don't seem to recognise). I'm happy to be taxed on the profits, that contributed to our increasing health care needs etc. Noreen's meds cost upwards of 5k a year, without the NHS that would be a struggle. Of course that high cost is because only one company has the licence and takes advantage of that, to the detriment of the NHS. That's the Tory way though. Trample and take from others to get to the top of the heap.

Its obvious that we contribute to the NHS in our taxes but then get the benefit when we need it, core beliefs impact on personal cicumstances (sic). Is that the best you can do? Ah well.

It's very clear to me. You state that you're a committed socialist but many of your actions and certainly your broader ideas, have no home within socialism. They would however be a nice fit within the Tory party.

I'm happy with what I have done and do, not sitting on my arse only concerned with myself.
