I keep reading of various protest groups making a number of demands , but I'm beginning to get confused.
There's the groups demanding improvements to infrastructure, more dredging, more services, better maintenance, more mooring rings etc.
Then there's the groups demanding less increases in charges for licences and moorings etc.
Then there's the groups demanding greater tolerance and understanding regarding minimal movement and longer stays.
Surely all these varied demands become contradictory ?
Isn't the real issue simply the explosion in numbers of people owning boats, and choosing to live aboard , coupled with costs in maintaining a two hundred plus year old system ?

Always been the way. The freeloader always shouts the loudest about the lack of money spent on him by the authorities. You can witness that here on this very forum.

Rog I don’t see the various groups demands you have selected as contradictory. I would just like to see the money that CRT receives being spent in a productive way. I don’t accept the view that the UK has no money. I just think the money isn’t used sensibly. We need a new government with some sensible heads in it. I doubt we will get one anytime soon though.

Do you think U.K. national debt in excess of £2T is a conspiracy theory?

We have money to spend, it just gets spent in the wrong places.

Just imagine what could be done with that.

The cost of servicing the existing debt is over £100 billion a year. Just imagine what could be done with that. The 100 billion would be wasted, as are many other billions. I said that as a country we have plenty of money available to spend. It just needs someone to spend it wisely. Maybe the next government can, we will see. Being in debt doesn’t change this. Anyway, we have been here before, so il say no more.
