You were nearby apparently, but you didn't even bother to turn up, after repeatedly saying you would on here. You can hardly be genuinely interested in the future of the canals. There were boaters there from all over the country CDS.

Unlike yourself I run a business employing fifteen people,I have tax, vat, work to manage and all the rest of the shit, I apologise for it slipping my mind but you have a fucking cheek alleging I have no interest in the canals,I was also present in London at the big March,I don't recall seeing you there. Its just like a prick like you to try and point score. Further to the point I seem to remember you saying that you would never support NBTA so I am wondering what you were doing there, reminding everyone your the owner of Tadworth no doubt.Idiot.

We have a lot of messy wires that go here & there and I haven't a clue what they are all for! Is this your head, or the boat?

cds - "The lack of a License in a boat window does not mean an unlicensed boat, CRT will tell you that." Yes. Just rattling your cage (But I would love to know if they have a licence!) Your not rattling anyones cage, your just attempting to make an excuse for your ignorance. The status of their License is of interest to you ? how sad is that ?

cds said: "you don't know if she was genuine or not instead you make assumptions." She? Yes, we all make assumptions. Well, I do, anyway - but I also go by the motto 'never assume'. Assumptions are what keeps us alive, using our natural instincts backed by experience. Of course I know that facts and evidence temper our imaginations. Couple of things: 1. I was reading the latest Tillergraph this afternoon and saw an article about - was it 3000 or 5000? (copy not to hand) - boaters refused the 3-month temporary licence because CRT has not accepted their cruising patterns. What's going to happen to all of these boats? All of a sudden 3000 boats pulled out of the water? 2. I was thinking about cds's 'brownfield' idea - constructing marinas/moorings in such areas. Yes, I like this. Of course London comes to mind, but Manchester and Huddersfield and Leeds and Reading and many other cities also need these. You may think - all those boats and probably more and more boats filling those marinas - will probably be spilling out into the canals and making them chock-a-block. I'd say most would just sit there, as many people seem to like living on boats and not actually going anywhere; and the canals would be emptier as many 'on-liners' would be happy to move into a more secure area. I'm talking about properly patrolled marinas with good facilities and reasonable rents and professional staff. However - we live in a Capitalist World and all the rich Arabs who own London would prefer fancy high-rise luxury apartments and couldn't give a toss about canal dwellers. It's all gold-painted cars and money, money, money! Yes, they could make marinas - but they'd charge a fortune in rents! How can we get this done? What did Boris Johnson do about this? Do you think this new Mayor of London is concerned about this? Personally, if I were in charge, I'd have a go. I think the kind of marina I have in mind would fit nicely into the London (and other cities') scene(s). I would also like to see more canals being made - why not? In the same style as the old ones, to an extent. Not as a Disney-World-theme-park but as real working, living, breathing watery ways to bring colour and vibrancy through the drab suburbs. This is outside London, but how about a connection from Hertford to the Grand Union? But - as I'm a loony - I'd also open disused railway lines and stick steam trains on them to provide employment and a better public transport system. As a Socialist-minded person with an awareness that we live in a dog-eat-dog Capitalist environment (as human nature is generally self-centred) I sometimes despair although looking around can remind us that there are many benefits that have been brought to us - such as water and sanitation, public transport, a health system, good roads, cleaner air than 150 years ago, etc. These are offset by the amount of cars on the roads, and pointless travelling by plane, and human greed and laziness in general. So, for Londoners, get yerself round to Sadaq Khan's house for tea and cucumber sandwiches and tell him what you want! He's your servant, remember, not your master! What a halfwit you are.Gordon Ramsay has a stool in his Kitchen called the Cunts Stool,I nominate you for it.

To give myself credit, I have read most of your posts, so I am becoming more aware of your views. We are probably on the same side of the sheet of paper, only you think it's tracing paper and I'm on the other side. Curiosity as to confirm one's suspicions that a boat is unlicenced by a water-point-hogger is not as sad as those who watch Eastenders, Emmeradale or Scott & Bailey. Absolutely no interest in your views,I think your an idiot.

Naughty fox at the end of the day what business of yours is it if someone else's boat is liscenced or not. Surely it's for the navigation authority to deal with.

I like to know who is paying their way and who isn't. Its not just being interested and you treat us all as idiots by suggesting that as being the case. You take one isolated incident, and that could be a boat broken down on a water point or a boat not showing a license in a window and attempt to bolster an agenda with it,you don't fool anyone here because people like Jenlyn,Kris, myself and some others see what the real issues are. Everyone wants to learn ,debate, argue, discuss, you it appears want to just peep at assumed miscreants from behind your John Lewis curtains.

I spent a lot of time several posts back trying to explain to you by answering all the prior points you had raised one by one.You haven't bothered to come back to the Forum with your thoughts and that is a great pity.

Speaking as someone who had a photo of my boat liscence posted on the other channel. By someone who thought incorrectly it wasn't liscenced. I found it rude and an invasion of my privacy. It's small step from this kind of behaviour to more severe vigilante action. So in my opinion you can fuck off and mind your own business, that's aimed at no one in particular but to all curtain twitches in general.

CDs the truth is that I have become very tired of you, despite your earlier invitation to share malt whisky with you. I don't really care what 3 or 4 individuals on this forum think of me or my opinions. I'm not changing them for an abusive, soapbox ranter for a start. I shall duly leave you to your passionate rantings so that you can increase your post count on your own. I'd like to say how much I have enjoyed engaging with you, but I can't. I don't like your style of debate and definitely won't miss it. I probably wouldn't like to drink with you either - you would be too Gobby for me. Take this however you like! I really don't care.
