You've got an engine with more than 1 pot that doesn't require a prayer to the gods to get it going - it also lives in an engine room not your corridor so you haven't got to be locked in with the damn thing. I'm guessing your exhaust doesn't blow lovely sooty smoke ring in your face either? You're excused 🚢⚓👍 Thank you very much, I feel privliged. Say it quietly as it will upset the purists - our BMC is at least in the classic category at 50+ years old (the guts of it are mostly 7 years old but don't let that spoil it....) No smoke rings or soot in your face as the exhaust exits underwater 👍

i agree with everything you say, apart from the neckerchief. I have no urge to wear period clothing. I think it would be ridiculous for a boat like mine to have a modern hair drier engine. But I can see the attraction. I've never seen a diesel powered hair drier. A diesel powered hair dryer. www.machinemart.co.uk/c/diesel-paraffin-heaters/

Yes but that would not push kris's boat along. I assumed he was talking about an internal combustion reciprocating diesel hairdrier engine.

I'm sure if you ran the kelvin in a small engine room for a few hours, with the side doors shut. It would generate enough heat to dry your hair and your washing.

This would require a large alternator.
