Yes it takes consideration on both sides, I take it boats have moored in this spot for a long time. Well longer than the flats anyway. So what about crt insisting that the developers put electricity bollards in ( obviously paying) so boats can still moor there but don't have to run generators for power. So the flat owners are happy and the boaters are happy well happyish. I actually think this is a very good idea in some respects, however like most things there might be a downside ....... overstayers ? ....... increased occupation as they might then be a "plum" site ? .......... also increasing frequency of occupation might also mean more problems with smoke in the winter ....... change the clean air act to cover boats ........ Hell no !!! that gives them an instant "in" if they do introduce a blanket diesel ban in the future Electric bollards are a good idea but its the thin end of the wedge for "premium moorings" so I find it slightly ironic that it was kris who suggested it.

I move the boat at least every 14 days but it is often not far. I overstay in an area but not strictly in time terms. My handrails have some crt cable ties. But I never cause a noise nuisance other than my 2am high volume outdoor satan worship ranting which usually lasts about 90 seconds and hopefully does not offend anyone as I assume people are usually asleep at this ungodly hour. I think without meaning to offend, that you should concentrate on your own behaviour, before judging others. Yes I should look at the satanic worship I agree. Perhaps I can use more fire and get it out like that rather than ranting.

Perhaps I can use more fire and get it out like that rather than ranting. May I humbly suggest that you should use the cheapest house coal available for the fire. The thick sulfurous fumes that would then fill the air would surely be pleasing to your deity

Satanism is pro pain. Fortunately there is a gas of the same name which has the advantage of not upsetting the neighbours.

They don't want boats on the waterways. Just voles, frogs and carp.

I call the enforcement officer Sir. Not good if they are femail. Anyway the people who come round collecting numbers aren't enforcement officers anymore, they are now called "liscence rangers." Data collectors. Apart from them ones with the mask like wot Dick Turpentine had. "Hey ho, Silver!"

What's blinkered about it? That's a bit of a stupid reply if it's to my post, and frankly roger, some of your replies like this are bordering on The ridiculous. The only blinkers I see, are those on the people who buy into a load of bollocks, then cry foul for not doing there homework beforehand. You can't shut down farms, boatyards, churches just because you were stupid enough to buy a new house by them. Oh yes you can! A traditional boatyard on the south coast Coombes of Bosham, in Chichester Harbour was closed when the residents of the developement complained about the noise. I'm sure there will be others. Churches have restrictions placed on bell ringing times. Just because something was there first gives it no rights at all when it comes to creating a nuisance, be it noise smell or whatever.

We have never run our engine, whilst moored, to charge our two leisure batteries and one starter battery, nor used a generator. How on Earth do you lot run through so much electricity? At this very moment ALL switches on our board are OFF.

Some C of E churches have been turned into mosques when the followers of Islam buy up all the houses round them.

Political correctness and its supporters should be shot. Hopefully, come the revolution, it will come to be. I have my list.
