He's not tall. Your gullible. 😋 I understood that you look up to him. I know my place

Gullible is a more pleasant trait than cynical on the whole.
But I guess, like the rest of us, he's neither in person.

Always wanted to ask, is that a photo of you, and who is the dwarf in the background?

Its me, my older daughter (7) in the background and my younger daughter (5) took the photo with my phone that's why the head is missing. Its outside the maritime museum at Greenwich which is why there is a large smith's patent stockless anchor in the picture

I know, after all, you also drive a Saab. You are like a dog with a bone about my bloody car !! Do you have some sort of issue with Saabs? One of the reasons I bought it was because the 1991 Rover Sterling I went to see had a headroom problem and I'm a bit tall. My Saab 9000 aero was beside it on the forecourt asking the same money ... I hate Saabs.

Thank you. The museum is terrific. Hope you and the girls enjoyed the visit. Rog It a good museum yes but our favourite maritime museum in London is the Museum of London Docklands at Canary Wharf beside West India Quay and the new Crossrail station. Utilising the old warehouse buildings it is amazing, free, and only a short (20 minutes) walk from Limehouse marina or Limehouse Cut moorings. There is even a Wetherspoon and a greasy spoon cafe beside it (higher class commercial catering establishments are available). There is even a church on an old Dutch Kempenaar barge for those who have religious persuasions ! I love the docklands museum specially the piss smell in the "sailor town" section. Its great.

I think CRT are pushing the legal boundaries, in response to CMers pushing the boundaries (if staying in a "general area" can be pushing boundaries, a paradox like NBTA). However, CRT, as a responsible organisation, should be acting within its constraints, using bylaws etc, not overiding rights granted by statute with terms and conditions. I also think they a management heavy, have caused many competent staff to leave in frustration, hampered by box ticking and form filling. We need lengthsmen with the ability to spot and fix problems there and then. Failing that, how about adding to the data loggers role to include checking the infrastructure, simply log broken paddles etc, without waiting for a boaters to report it. Then a repair team to fix it rapidly. That wouldn't work as they would then have to waste funds fixing them. Much better value to send a threatening message to boaters apparently. I mean without us annoying boaters they wouldn't need to fix anything.
