No, faux painting. I've never done it but I've always wanted to give it a go. I think I have nearly everything I need. The photo below is all just paint on a plain wall, there is not one single tile in this pic. I'm sure I won't do it nearly as well but if I get it half as good I'll be happy. Sod that - as much as I dislike tiling I’m willing to bet doing it properly would be less agro in the long run! I'm thinking painted-on tiles will be less likely to fall off when I next ram a River Thames bridge,

You expect tenants to have an oscillating saw plus grout plus a 'proper rubber grout float' plus know what to do with them that many tradespeople don't seem to! Glad I'm not one of your tenants! Fecking fit an extractor fan and some heating you tight git!
Oh dear, we are struggling today. No! I expect them to do the wiping down and a bit of anti mould spray so I don't have to do any regrouting. Black mould is always down to condensation. It needs heat or ventilation. I've fitted positive pressure ventilating fans in a couple of properties, they work a treat and the tenant has no choice in the matter. Speaking of which. The new recruit Last one lasted just over 6 years, duff battery - it may get repaired and pensioned off to the boat. I wouldn’t be without one.

New Whale Gulper fitted to shower today after 6 year old sump / float setup failed. Miss the ease of just getting in shower and pump automatically pumping once shower starts but Gulper on an on/off switch is the renown showerpump of choice.👍 ETA, Highly recommended seller... MarineScene UK Ltd, Bridgend, £99 next day delivery! 👍

A shower photo? Surely something missing here...
The old whale gulpers are indeed amazingly durable and reliable bits of kit.

So; what to do during lockdown 3? Why have a play with my scabby Erde 102 of course! I’ve had this shed of a trailer for some time - it’s way more useful than it would seem at first glance. For some time I’ve been meaning to add some load bars so I can use it to carry my roof box and cycle racks. The bars are from some spare cable festoon - lopped to 4’ lengths then nailed to the sides of the trailer - M6 rivnuts make life much easier to fit them. Space enough for my Thule Pacific 800 and one Thule Freeride 532 cycle carrier - I can get 3 cycle carriers across it no problem if the need should arise; seeing as I’m a short arse it’s infinitely easier to load the little Erde than wrestle them into the roof of the car! Quick check of the wheel bearings and a lube and retorque of the wheel studs and it’s fighting fit for another umpty several miles. I got a bit of lockdown Amazon fever too - the fitted cover is a bit tatty so a new one is winging it’s way here tomorrow - along with a rather fetching cargo net. It tows a treat despite its little 8” wheels, is easier to store and has come in very useful now and again.

Looks much better on the trailer than on jim Riley 's boat Rog Good for 100 mph - I wonder if Jim has tested his to this speed? I couldn’t possibly comment whether that speed was achievable going down the A14 heading to Littleport 🙈🤭

Friend of mine bought a Suzuki Jimny a couple of days ago. A 2012 (older type).
What an excellent little motor!!
Proper ladder chassis off road vehicle. Coil springs loads of travel and it's really comfortable. I had a little drive of it and was surprised by the room in it !
6ft2.576 tall but I am thin. Maybe someone a bit wider would have problems but headroom wise it was higher than my Saab 95. And easier to get into.
Really nice little wagon that is.
Very impressed.
My first car was a Daihatsu F20 Foutrak which my old man had bought new in 1978. First Japanese 4x4 in the UK closely followed by Suzuki. I drove that from 1991 until 1996 when the rust took it out.
Daihatsu stopped their Fourtraks a while ago but that little Suzuki Jimny is a really nice unit..

I built extensions to it once to make it higher but it needs a new bearing now and nut used it in years. Makes a great camping trailer.
