over a ton must make those little wheels sweat! Blew em up good and hard I've acquired half a tin of silver Rustoleom Combi Colour - I will treat the little Erde to a lick of fresh paint soon; wouldn't be getting done if I had to but some paint! Top job on the boat.

Top job on the boat. It's only just over a quarter ton 250 litre tank ..... they did a 400 litre one but I was a bit worried about the trailer ..... it is a bit long in the tooth !!!
still that is ten days to a fortnights worth so fine for just keeping it topped up

Ah I see - on the screen I was looking at it looked about the size of an IBC! That makes mores sense! My Little Erde is supposed to be a 250KG trailer - not sure I'd want a quarter of a ton in it though!

Iβve got this job to do, great pile of hardwood stripwood in the garage that needs fitting, I can see it being a long term roundtuit job...... I did a similar repair to you a few years back, sadly the rot has crept forward and I reckon Iβve 18 months tops of looking at it with one eye open! π€ͺπ’π§π

So; what to do during lockdown 3? Why have a play with my scabby Erde 102 of course! Iβve had this shed of a trailer for some time - itβs way more useful than it would seem at first glance. For some time Iβve been meaning to add some load bars so I can use it to carry my roof box and cycle racks. The bars are from some spare cable festoon - lopped to 4β lengths then nailed to the sides of the trailer - M6 rivnuts make life much easier to fit them. Space enough for my Thule Pacific 800 and one Thule Freeride 532 cycle carrier - I can get 3 cycle carriers across it no problem if the need should arise; seeing as Iβm a short arse itβs infinitely easier to load the little Erde than wrestle them into the roof of the car! Quick check of the wheel bearings and a lube and retorque of the wheel studs and itβs fighting fit for another umpty several miles. I got a bit of lockdown Amazon fever too - the fitted cover is a bit tatty so a new one is winging itβs way here tomorrow - along with a rather fetching cargo net. It tows a treat despite its little 8β wheels, is easier to store and has come in very useful now and again. Nice. We have one. I built extensions to it once to make it higher but it needs a new bearing now and nut used it in years. Makes a great camping trailer. The bearings are dead easy to replace - Iβll see if I can hunt out the bearing numbers later ππ€ͺπ»

Grabbed an off cut of Iroko worktop from a random boat job a couple of weeks ago, with the intention of making a small collapsible table for doing small jobs / resting beer cans on in my boat. Decided to get a pyrography picture of my cabin side onto it to give it a moderately interesting look whilst in the βdownβ position. All finished and mounted today, as the rains pouring outside so no hedge action.π I like it!π

Sharp corners look a bit dodgy.
I was contemplating collecting a container from the storage unit in the photo and I was like "ouch".

Fairlight BSS passed with the usual advisory for Fridge flue modification and lack of high level ventilation - all good until June 2025 π»ππ

Holly Molly! Hard tiring morning wedged in the arse end of Vanguard reworking steering cable swivel bracket along with the rudder stock arm.
Everything done upside down, back to front while folded up Z shaped.
Shite job!
New helm unit fitted to a fresh bit of ply along with the new cable pulled through and fitted, the old girl is getting close to going back in - bog needs the hoses going back on along with the holding tank refitting, recommission water systems and a general blessing and she should be good to go. Dormant since beginning of October last year π©
launch date should be June 5th unless malevolent influences part a spanner in the works.

Todays job involved swapping out these 12 knackered 2v cells for 8 replacement Trojen T-1250 batteries to give a good reliable batterybank on this fantastic Branson kit barge. Lifting these out of a 8ft high engineroom and lowering the 40kg trojens in means Im a knackered boy, No hedge work tonight!π
