Replace 10" water filter, we've an old 250l galvy water tank that is getting towards end of life, on CWDF I had some shit off the I've always drunk rusty water and it's never harmed me brigade. These go in brilliant white and comes out like this! You can see the inside that lets the clean water through in this photo. Good to 5 microns 👍 Gazza, for the last 20 years I have always just drunk the water from my tank but when we got a beating by the weather (force 7) Sabina was pitching and slamming quite badly and the water from the taps began to resemble tomato soup rather than the clean supply I normally get. I have flushed the tanks out as best I can but anything further is really not on, as access to the inspection lids is damn near impossible without removing half of the galley area Obviously I am going to have to instal some filtering so could you please give details of your system (and anything else in that line that might help) cheers

Morning Gazza, Thanks for all the info ....... I will have a look at it all later today. Have to do something or I will have to carry a hell of a lot of bottled water when going to sea (wasn't joking when I said it was like soup ....... there was so much rust it was opaque !!!)

Morning John, No problem, doing way with bottled water and hence leaving more space to store beer was a prime factor in fitting the filter

Had a very pleasant day out today. I drove to Beverly, what a delightful little town. Had a walk around and did some shopping. (lots of shops open today) had breakfast at a little cafe down a side street (eggs Florentine, excellently cooked) SAM_0867 by mudlarker2, on Flickr SAM_0870 by mudlarker2, on Flickr SAM_0869 by mudlarker2, on Flickr Later walked down to Beverly Beck and saw Syntan and went on board for a look and a very interesting chat to two of the supporters on board. I was very impressed in particular by their wonderful rebuilding of the boatmans cabin (the original had been almost totally destroyed in a fire prior to preservation) SAM_0873 by mudlarker2, on Flickr Excellent day out, I'm just gutted that Sabina is too long and too beamy to get through the lock

Oi !!! don't leave us in suspenders !!! ..simples...no partner...did look and see if u could 'hire' one cos u seem to be able to hire most stuff nowadays...and I thought get to ballroom..hire brill dancer bloke who has one left foot and one right(guy with 2 left feet dancing no real use in viennese waltz)...waltz my way around the ballroom...tick box ticked.. I have concluded that my infinite list will always have stuff on it will never do ......and I suppose if one got to the end of your list they'd be no what next.....

Patty has Japanese knotweed to contend with. The EA have gurt big clumps of this to deal with. 5 big bergs between Denver and Ely, one of which held up locking onto the river from the tidal Great Ouse

Have marshy land just over fence and I'm having a go at digging small channels to drain that nearest me....reasoning being that it may stop bank from washing away and my garden fence

Another little job for the Old Man. The mast block for Vanguard was in a bit of a tired old way. Quite some time ago he asked me to make a new one for him, a gentle reminder while on holiday spurred me into action..... While it was on the operating table I remade the plug terminations as a simpleton had made them off before, along with slipping a bit of heatshrink over the cable as the insulation was a little UV degraded. I've got to give the mast a quick coat of woodstain then he can have it back
