Well it seems that the leaders of both in and out are making a total pig's ear of things. I feel quite sorry for those who are undecided. All they can hear is a series of unsubstantiated claims, from both sides. It seems that the notion of being adult in this matter is beyond the ability of all involved. Basically, it's a shambles.
But let's not let this get us down. While the politicians are spouting their nonsense perhaps the people themselves can put reasonable arguments forward.
To this end I've tasked myself with convincing my mother, who is undecided, to vote for out. My father is a lost cause, he thinks that anyone who wants out is a racist bigot.
So, on Thursday, I'll be talking to my mother to try to convince her that being out is better than being in. I won't suggest to her that dad is a bigot himself. There will be no shouting or screaming, name calling or anything else unpleasant. Just calm reasoning from myself, based on a number of facts and of course, my own opinion.
Perhaps if we all tasked ourselves with convincing one undecided person to vote out, it might just make a difference to the result. We have an advantage in this respect as those wanting to stay in can really only sell the status quo on the basis of fear of change. We have a lot more to sell; a brighter future.
Anyone up for it?

Well I won't use the term fuck all when I speak to my mum. It probably doesn't matter too much anyway as the whole thing will implode naturally, whether Britain leaves or not. I suppose I'm advocating getting the pain over with quickly. A bit like visiting the dentist, having that painful jab before a filling, rather than waiting until all your teeth rot away and eventually fall out.

To be honest most people I speak to are for leaving very few are happy with the EU and its long drawn out methods of doing business [do what we say or we will fuck you sideways until you do] Fortunately older people vote, younger ones dont, there are more older people than young, and most of them want out! So in the way of the world we should be out in a month and a day

I think, unfortunately, if this shambles continues an 'in' result is inevitable. Something needs to change.

"The 'out' campaign has got fuck all to sell"
"Well I won't use the term fuck all when I speak to my mum"
How do you know your mum isn't actually Delta? Running this site is maybe what she does in her spare time?!

I am hoping that the out campaign winds itself in the last week before the day not giving the inners anything to come back with. Plus what we hear last is what we enter the box with in our mind. So weather warm lots of immigrants trying to get here da da da, report how bad EU is maybe big fiddle found out it would do the job. Its the not sure we have to convince and they are the ones that will get us out, plus the young uns shouting but doin nowt as usual

Delta9 has it correct I think, and I read tonight that support for Brexit is ebbing away,is this the dirty tricks dept spreading falsehood ?

dont underestimate Boris, after all, he conqured labour London with ease and he is very charismatic. I would like more Farage but we are bound by what the media feeds us. LBC does a good job of airing both sides but I still think it is a close run thing that will be determind by the turn out on the day.

I think outside the South East Boris is an irrelevance,I've a Jack Russell with more charisma than Ken Livingstone, so how much does Boris and his mayoral victory tell us ? I really hope your right about the numbers, but I think we have had a greater debate here on Thunderboat than any thats took place elsewhere.

There's surprisingly little discussion about it in the pubs I've frequented recently. AFAIK all my immediate family are of my mind. If anyone asked me I would give my views, but no-one has (except here, obviously), but I'm not going out preaching.
As an aside, I see Nicola Sturgeon has laid into Osborne for his patronising and cack-handed attempts at scaring people into voting 'in', despite being an 'in' voter herself, like me. I think it's the first time I've agreed with any statement of hers.

Can I invite you to put a neutral hat on for a moment and perhaps agree with many here that Boris has been a dead loss so far for the Brexit Campaign ? I think the SNP will be found out in Scotland eventually, have you read Jim Sillars comments in the press ?

I think the Daily Mail has done more to orchestrate a Brexit Vote than Boris Johnston, thats how poor his leadership has been.
