The real irony being that they (UK mass shooters) were basically law abiding people in possession of legally held firearms.
A mental health problem perhaps.
I think the biggest outcome of the latest shooting in america will be more strict controls on people with mental health conditions such as autism or schizophrenia etc.
Hopefully this will only extend to control of guns but I could see it going further than that.

Of course there is a risk of a repeat using illegally held arms but surely you can see that making them illegal reduces the risk? As I said its about control. 100% eliminating the risk is impossible. Just because you cannot totally eliminate the risk doesn't mean a country like ours should not have measures in place to reduce the possibility. What we cannot say is how many more massacres like Dunblane would have taken place had the legislation not been changed. I dont disagree with you its just that guns dont shoot themselves [not yet anyway] so the real problem is the person pulling the trigger. Yes guns being made illegal makes things harder, but the reality is full automatic weapons are available cheaply from Eastern Europe their was a program about it recently, but because of my background I have always know of the problem. I hate guns all of them, air guns, shotguns eveything!! The problem is Peter some people use the excuse that 'guns don't fire themselves as a reason not to do anything (I'm not saying you are BTW).

I'm surprise everyone has forgotten the Whitehaven taxi driver incident. Probably got fed up of his customers always talking behind his back 🙄

I think that's a daft statement. In that case, why can't everyone have nuclear weapons, as "nuclear weapons don't fire themselves" ? The problem is foxy that the bad people know how to get weapons the good ones dont so they normally end up in the hands of the ones that will use them never a good thing as John has just shown you Which is exactly why the proliferation of Nuclear weapons is controlled. If it was not many more nation's would have them.

Sounds like your jealous, that would certainly sort a few scrotes out. Nah, distance killing isn't my thing, the thrill is all about getting covered in blood and brain tissue, and having a pair of severed testicles to nail on the wall as a souvenir..

He commented how inaccessible the property was for scrotes looking to break in and then observed '... but if it ever happened there are plenty of places where you could bury the body'. he sounds like a man after your own heart, Mrs Tabbypuss.

Obama already brought in laws restricting people with mental health issues from obtaining f/arms. It was one of the laws Trump got rid of when he came into office due to pressure from the NRA. Its too late to rid the US of its firearms now. The only sensible solution i've heard is for bullets to cost $5,000 each.
