Oh Lord !!! This year is really difficult ........ there are 4 or 5 this year that I would be happy to have as pictures on the wall ..... but to pick the best !!!
Wow!!! seeing them in a row makes you realise the sheer quality of the entries

on a side note. the other thread did make me nearly fall of my chair. seeing thread locked just sent me over the edge.

Thankyou, but I wouldn't class it as a "great photo"
Chagal's picture, would, I think, make a most stunning Christmas card ...... but a couple of the others might ....... Oh Hell !!! I don't know.
This is going to be a hell of a difficult thing to decide

I really like no.16 Didn't notice it before but I think its the modern housing which is now on the site of the old Croxley Paper mills just above Common Moor lock. Anyway wherever it is its a great picture - gets my vote

Croxely Paper mills were above Common moor on the non towpath side. Not sure if the old photo is excatly the same location as yours but it's the same site assuming you were standing by the lock lay by above common Moor lock when you took your photo.
Does look wider in yours but those old overhanging loading sheds are very dominant in the older picture.

(I got that from the guy who owned the land.) What a transformation. Anyway, I thought you had thrown a strop and left? Why have you decided to be reborn? 🤣🤣🤣
