Am I alone in feeling just a bit sorry for him? So his laptop had an uncleared history of legal porn on it - so what? Whats he actually done wrong? (apart from 'apparently' wanking in works time 8 years ago?π±) The media are certainly whipping (π) this into a shitstorm with every likelihood of ending the blokes career! I think you'd be hard pressed to find any male (or female) who could honestly say, hand on heart, they haven't seen porn on their laptop in some form or other. The retired police officer, who went public with the story after finding the porn is now in the shit for publicising the confidential material whilst Damian Green's career and reputation could be in ruins. Surely the rightful pursuit of paedo's should include some protection for those who's privacy has to be compromised during any investigative work or does he deserve everything he gets for perusing & downloading porn on his works equipment? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42205329

Sympathy..no not really... I agree media frenzy is wrong I agree that all the hype...guilty without trial by facts wrong.. But if you take on a position of responsibility..part of that should be ensuring 'squeaky clean' background ..to have that type of material whilst in public office does not indicate a lot of sense..what an idiot.. These people think they are privileged and above the law....and no-one should be...

The problem is he appears to have spent all day every day wanking away an MP's salary. That's not really what his constituents voted for is it?

Reminds me of this (probably Blur's best album)
Oh, Mr Robinson And his quango Dirty dealer Expensive car Runs the buses and the Evening Star He got a hairpiece Ooh, he got herpes His private life is very discreet A nicer man, no, you're never gonna meet He's the self-confessed savior of the dim right wing He got respiratory problems and a mason's ring Oh, Mr Robinson And his quango Drinks with generals and county wives The family business is doing alright They're doing tangos Down in the quangos He makes them tick Ooh, he makes them tock And if you don't fit He put you in the dock He just sits in his leather chair and twiddles his thumb Gets his secretary in and pinches her bum He ran into the toilets in the town hall He got his biro out and wrote on the wall "I'm wearing black French knickers under my suit I've got stocking and suspenders on I'm feeling rather loose" Ooh, I'm a naughty boy Ooh, I'm a naughty, naughty boy

These people think they are privileged and above the law....and no-one should be... The trouble is that the law, as we know it, doesn't always bring certain people to account. The media can be the only alternative. The guy who stitched him up seems to have a long term, perhaps terminal illness (MS?). They do say beware those who have nothing to lose. I'm not sure what his motive was though. As has been said, I don't think he's done anything illegal but most of us would get sacked if our company found porn on our work computer.

There are only two types of men in this world, those who admit to looking at internet porn, and liars.
I think that policeman is totally out of order and should be prosecuted, or be sued for slander. He has no evidence that Green was the one looking at the porn. Even if he did, so what itβs quite legal. What is not legal is the revelation of private information into the public domain by someone in a position of power and trust. OK if it was something illegal, weβll possibly but then that should have been dealt with at the time. What the pig is doing is just stirring up the shit because heβs bored and resents having to retire - he can no longer go around shouting at people and telling them what to do. No doubt his penis is tiny and/doesnβt work any more.
As to the Green time wasting element, if the pictures were of birds (feathered kind), cars or boats it wouldnβt be newsworthy and no-one would give a shit.

Surely the point is, that on official government computers was stored personal information (porn in this case).
The story is about misuse of government equipment/finance rather than porn.
Frankly I couldn't care less.
It is a strange phenomenon, that if someone 'whistle blows' about a subject of interest to one, they are a hero who needs plaudits, but if it is a subject of no interest they should be prosecuted and they have "a penis that's tiny".

I enjoy a politician's "career" coming to a sticky end. It's a privileged position. To be able to regard it as a career is even more privileged because you need to be assured of a safe seat. Safe seat? The term alone makes a mockery of our electoral system. So some twat becomes somehow entitled to be a safe seat MP ad infinitum and sits wanking over porn because it's just a job. Do the basic minimum, tow the party line, have a wank, dinner and taxi home on expenses due to wanking until 6.01pm (expenses get legit at some point, might not be 6pm). I say ha ha ha to it being front page news. Waster.
