Virtually none here in South Yorkshire at present, and the forecast has now altered to light snow.
Has the canal frozen there, or have the snow clouds kept the temperature up?
Hope you get the stove going this morning.

All funky in brewood ATM so shops and everything, canal still liquid, 6" of white shit and still falling. CRT contractors came and dropped a dead Ash right in front of the boat.. Thank you muchly! Burning well enough to open side hatch and listen to bell ringing. Love winter, just waiting for stoppages then a run to Audlem for Xmas, life is tough

Nowt here in Rotherham cold out, Rayburn up to cook temp and whispergen has rads up to 60 degrees. We came back from Doncaster early because of the forecast, the boat is set up for winter cruising as the central heating uses the hot engine coolant, so the boat is cosy when on the move, and the wheelhouse can get very warm, that warm that t shirts have to be worn! very upsetting for people stuck on the stern of a narrowboat with 200 layers on!!

Wow - that's the most snow I've seen in a few years. Woke up this morning and it was proper snowing (well what we would call a light snow fall back in Canada) which has now turned to fluries. Tow path has a couple of inches of snow, all the trees are covered and a light skim of ice on the canal, just enough for the snow to land on and melt.

I'm feeling left out here... no snow to speak of... a little blowing in the wind but not enough to re-kindle childhood memories... hmmf!

Not sure that many people realise that fresh snow is very clean pure drinkable water, if you are frozen in or just want to minimise trips to the water tap just bring a big tub of snow into the warm for a bonus water supply.
