Colvic 20? They made lovely boats - nice character shape and good lay-up. well done. There was one in Bristol marina which had been recently renovated - beautiful job. Let's hope you do it justice. I am trying to imagine you racing it down the Tideway past your colleagues in Vauxhall Castle like Mr Bond. ....................... no, doesn't quite compute. Advertised as a Colvic 19 but it depends where you measure them. 19ft LWL 20ft LOA. Main thing is I really hate sailing and this is a proper NON sailing motorboat. Should do about 5 knots plus or minus tide around Vauxhall area depending on wind.

This one has a Kubota twin in it. I thought from the pics that it was a Z482 but it's actually a Z751 which is 743cc and 16 horse continuous. Seems about right for the size of boat. This sort of hull has a maximum effective speed (hull speed) which can be exceeded by brute force but the only real result will be a huge increase in fuel costs. At the end of the day its a displacement hull. 15hp seems about right. Might be a nice candidate for electric drive later

Nice boat BTW 🚢👍🍻

I've been getting a bit fed up and bored with canal cruising. I like living on a boat on the cut but would like to do some more interesting boating including possible salty type things.. So I drove to Queen borough and dived in at the deep end by buying this luxury yot today. It'll be ideal on my pontoon in Monaco to replace my knackered old Bennetti This boat is mine now. Being delivered to Londonistan next week on trailer. I like it. Always liked these particular boats since I was a boy. Nice day boat for fishing. Indeed it is. 4 very nicely fitted rod holders, two fish finders with transducers both sides of the keel. Big cooker for cooking the fish. Furuno c-map plotter. It even has one of the latest kickstarter "fish radar" devices on it which is quite impressive. But I hate fishing.

All three of them have different wheelhouses two look good and one has windows the size of letterbox slots but thats life I suppose

But that's a proper navigation, not a midlands ditch.

But that's a proper navigation, not a midlands ditch. Rog True 1000 ton tanker draws a few feet and its very long, longer than the average Colvic

About 18" deep yes but the beam looks a bit over 7'. Once I get it on the Thames for the summer I will probably have a go at Dukes Cut just out of interest but I have no particular desire to navigate the coffin locks anyway so won't lose any sleep if it doesn't fit. I'm sure it would get to Brum and back but my main aim is to get off the ditches and do some open water boating. And sit around drinking beer in the sun on the Thames at Henley obviously
