I've been getting a bit fed up and bored with canal cruising. I like living on a boat on the cut but would like to do some more interesting boating including possible salty type things.. So I drove to Queen borough and dived in at the deep end by buying this luxury yot today. It'll be ideal on my pontoon in Monaco to replace my knackered old Bennetti This boat is mine now. Being delivered to Londonistan next week on trailer. I like it. Always liked these particular boats since I was a boy.

Hopefully the itch is scratched for a while and you won't need to buy another one for a while.

Its a bit tired but shows signs of being a good boat including a stainless steel shoe on the keel and a massive fuel filter and other old skool proper job fittings which I like. Nothing flash just good solid equipment. Does need a bit of varnish on the wheelhouse as it has ply sides but this can be done. All other wood is mahogany (coamings) and iroko (rubbing bands).
I like the idea of a wooden boat but a GRP one with some wooden bits is so much more sensible !

Hopefully the itch is scratched for a while and you won't need to buy another one for a while. To be fair the last time I paid more than £600 for a boat was in 2011 yes I have bought dinghies and kayaks in the meantime but they don't really count as boats ! yes I have owned several boats in my life but what else can you do when you have millions of pounds in the bank ? Buy houses? Why would I do that ??

Colvic 20? They made lovely boats - nice character shape and good lay-up. well done.
There was one in Bristol marina which had been recently renovated - beautiful job. Let's hope you do it justice. I am trying to imagine you racing it down the Tideway past your colleagues in Vauxhall Castle like Mr Bond. ....................... no, doesn't quite compute.
