I see Andrew knew where to look Yeah, 180 foot sounds about right, similar size to the Rix and Mainmast tankers still running vegetable oil around this area. When the Swinderby comes past me, here in the Hull river she makes Sabina look small SAM_0835 by mudlarker2, on Flickr

I tell you what, why donβt you stop interacting with me then. You have revealed yourself to be a nasty person and Iβd be quite happy to not hear from you again. Nick, it's not CWDF, if you don't like what I've typed (completely factual as far as I can see) then hard lines I'm afraid. It's exactly this sort of peer moderation and review that serves to show up the inadequacy of the block or report button. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but the only one you have to look at is yourself, not me or the other Forum members you have rounded your sights on over the last few weeks. I was pleased to see your Minworth thread BTW, sadly I guess there won't be much productive dialogue on there with you. And the same applies to you. If you donβt like what I write why read it, and more to the point why prompt it in the first place?

That's the boat behind Exol Pride in John's picture (I think) - from the same vantage point! Very smart boat in foreground Goole - July/Aug 2017

Am I alone in finding Foxy's panoramic photos awkward to visually deal with? Too much input.

no ...... I have trouble with the distortion of view point as well
I suppose it works with more distant centre points but if it's close up, the change in shape does my brain in

It gives me a headache.
What is extremely worrying is that I think he (naughtyfox) has previously stated his intention to produce more of this sort of thing and possibly even include it in the calendar.
FWIW I think the TB calendar was truly wonderful but I also think that everyone needs to concentrate on taking good natural photos without the use of dodgy effect or lenses. so that we can hope to reduce the impact of these brain bending panoramic things which I am sure he will keep on posting.
Just a thought.

Crikey, we all agree the panoramic pics are horrible.
Is that a first on this thread?
Of course knowing foxy, he'll just post more now.

I've never really understood the need to 'do down' other people's choices merely on the grounds they weren't your own. My bidet ensures I never get accused of having 'stuck on rivets' π Dangleberries.
