No I love it. Went for a two hour drive in it. Then sledging. In Scotland I used to beat the snowplough in the mornings just so I could fuck about driving in the snow. Would love to get snowed in somewhere pretty tbough. Not grotty old Southampton by the looks of all the Facebook posts everyone else in Southampton is snowed in. Getting properly snowed in is fun a couple of times after that you realise it is a vastly overrated experience. Stopped snowing here now, probably snowed in once the wind has stopped dumping the snow into piles in the most inconvenient places - thankfully the worst of the weather seems to have buggered off.

Still no snow here up on Horror House Hill...zee wind is howling and emptying ashes saw them blow back...fortunately not roasting hot...but now have kitchen sporting ash look. At least toasty warm since heaters fixed and I now look forward to arriving back here to one warm room post any trips away..should also reduce the damp issue. Going to venture out once its light to check just how cold it is

Well lucky for me and a few others we got out of it. After 5frs the police and ploughed opens a road to get through Brampton. Was an attic stuck in a snow drift and in the time got a 8 to 10 foot snow drift around it. Police said that it will be closed well into tomorrow, now today. M6 was shut and snow drift closing it more so work got me into a van in Carlisle.
So going down for breaky then see if I can get home.
It's blowing a false up here so be lucky to get over Shap.
Keep safe and well all.

I was going to run the kids down to Nanny and granddads last night. I am glad I dident as of 8 30 the police called a major incident and 4 hours later the army cleared the A31 to get the trapped cars out. What a strange feeling last night with what I presume all the light pollution bouncing of the low snow clouds.

Just been out in the car to check out the roads for later in the day, so drove down to the boat, everything fine on the highest mooring in the land. Met office forecast was for 40-50mph winds last night, but when I stuck my head out it was gusting far stronger than that. My back fence has taken a lean! This morning they said 90mph + on the M62 summit.

More snow due this afternoon/evening around coventry, biggest issue for me is getting to the boat tomorrow, its down a very shitty bumpy track, not sure my little car will get down or back up, so a walk may be needed...

I tried to get out again today with no success. The main road into town was mostly clear but sections are covered in drifts and down to single track, the next road out of town was completely blocked with 6ft drifts and abandoned cars.

Early bath today, I was a team of one as all my colleagues didn't show up. Nursery got in touch to say pick the dwarf up by 3pm. Snow falling again in deepest darkest Corbyshire. Smug factor for having winter tyres on both cars off the scale

I'm fed up with it now. Light flurries of snow here but not settling. Not seen any moving boats all day.

Still no snow but high winds...hammer and nail time out on fence when it drops... Is that when the wind drops or the fence? Phil
