What a surprise they got what they wanted, price increases for wide boats. They have definately left the door open for charging more for boats without a home mooring as well. It means a 25% increase for me personally.

I think narrowboats should be charged a premium when they come onto the wide waterways.

I think narrowboats should be charged a premium when they come onto the wide waterways. Based on? They cause the most damage.

I want offside vegetation cleared. 14 day moorings maintained to a standard where I can actually moor, and dredging to accommodate wider vessels. I also want CRT to give a start date on a plan of action that will enable wideboats to go from north to south and vice versa. In the meantime, a facility provided by the CRT to subsidise crane and transport costs of any widebeams wishing to 're locate to south or north.
I also want Richard Parry removed from office. The guy is not fit for purpose.

This results in damage to the gate seals, shortening life span, and therefore implementing extra maintenance costs.

I have no idea what the extra charge is for, im not saying its right either by he way. Narrowboats only opening one gate on wide locks is known to cause more damage. All of the locks on wide waterways have groves cut into the gates at rubbing strake height. It drastically reduces the life of the gates. Cart have been looking for away of stopping people doing it for a long while.
