And someone who has a floating apartment will probably only move it every two weeks as they are obliged to. Of their own free will, perhaps, but if tied up at a water point for many hours, the answer is to untie them and give their boat a shove.

When you've finished with the tar brush send it up here. Talking to a local banks man, one of the few who still knows what's what, a narrowboat went from Littleborough over to Sowerby leaving a trail of low pounds and open gates in his wake. He went to Sowerby to pump out and fill up and is on his way back. I can spare some hen feathers, just need the tar brush.

Name that boat, then! What is wrong with you lot? Is it illegal to tell everyone who the plonkers are? Probably hippies. Although if this were true, why haven't CRT got a-hold of this berk and given him one in the nuts?

Although if this were true, why haven't CRT got a-hold of this berk and given him one in the nuts? There may be some bad hippies, but I think that most of them have respect for the waterways. There are bad people in all kinds of classes (if you call it classes) of society, that may behave worse than most of these hippies. It's not because they have scruffy boats or painted differently than the traditionally painted boats that they automaticly behave like selfish plonkers. Peter.

Exactly.
I've got a boater friend who has a pair of narrow boats. Misses and kids on them as well (children now late teens but been on the narrow boats since birth). They are quite scruffy boats and he opted to call the boats "Tarred" and "Feathered"
I guess this is a "make your own mind up" attitude.
I hate judging people personally.
I realise some of my comments may come across as judgement but its not personal - I just say as I see it when it comes to patterns of boat user types.

For today, you're forgiven, as it's your birthday Hope you've had/have a nice day with your lady and your girls. Peter.
