Ah Aries yes I know that boat and have been on it. I like it a lot though it doesn't have much headroom. When Rog said Ariel I was getting excited because I thought there's a Shortboat I haven't seen. Oh well.

You surely know the other 3 new builds I've listed as well, as you've been around there for quite a while. Peter.

My mistake, sorry.
It is Aries, built in 2010.

My mistake, sorry. It is Aries, built in 2010. Rog of all the new builds L&L boats I've see. I think Aries is my favorite. Unfortunately it could do with a bit more headroom. But raising the roof six inches wouldn't spoil the lines.

But raising the roof six inches wouldn't spoil the lines. There was nobody onboard when I saw Aries at Skipton, and not on Swallow's Nest either, so I didn't have a chance to talk to their owners. The only one I had a word with about his boat was the owner of Eller. Aries didn't look as high as the others, so you must be right if you've been on board, I like that one most of the new builds too. There's a nice old Petter PJ2WM engine that seems to be capable of moving the boat pretty good. Peter.

Eller is a really nice space inside. Ian who built it is a top bloke and I have a lot of time for him. He calls it a look a likey rather than a replica as its scaled down a bit and it's made to look like a loaded L&L boat. Swallows nest is a copy of eller. I met the guy who built garstang although I don't like that as much.

Garston looks like a full size replica, but with some personal-and not as nice touches as the real ones, and the bow is completely different. But it was made to the taste of it's owner, and he/she paid for it without asking me to finance (which wouldn't have worked anyway), and was free to make it as wished. Peter.

Eller is currently moored on the Plaza (car park side) of the Springs Branch for the duration of the Waterways Festival. Ian's celebrating 50 years existence of Pennine Cruisers and his 60th birthday. Eller is almost certainly named after Eller Beck which runs alongside the Springs Branch, cuts off through the main Coach Street car park and then takes a sharp left under the canal just before the electric swing bridge (near the redundant mill chimney that stands alongside the canal and Victoria Mill, now apartments). Roger twat Oh, that's nice when all I was trying to do was supply some local background knowledge to add to what you may already know, but others may not. I only quoted your post not to reply to YOU but to indicate what info I was adding to. Roger
