I have to admit to not being around much lately, but I'm not sure whats going on about Rog, here. is this the Rog I met at Norbury, with a boat called "Paneke"? He seemed like a really nice chap to me, his only fault being that he didn't have a dog.

It could be that I'm a 'fluffy bunny snowflake' as I don't like seeing lots of 'earthy' words and try not to use them.... Yes I know I've lapsed from time to time....but I'm a weak and feeble(??) female in a ever changing world I like lovely flowery language that flows without ripples of discord...

I wonder if you one day go home to Horror House and find some Gollum-like Eastern European lounging on your sofa watching your TV and eating your crisps and swigging your cider, if your language would become more 'Flowery'. How is that poor bloke going to get all that black paint off his boat? Thieving Pole is laughing, Metropolitan Police couldn't give a flowery toss.
You should hear the language the 14-year old teenage girls use in my bus, makes even my ears turn red! I have warned them it's 50cents per swear word.

I don't think I could be described as a snowflake but I am siding with Patty and Rog on this one ....... it is not a word I like seeing in print ........ In fact it's not a word I like hearing. In moments of extreme stress I understand it's use and may even have occasionally been guilty myself but I don't care to see or hear it under normal circumstances.
If the situation was being reported first hand then I could understand it's use but when its fourth, fifth or fivehundredth hand. then I think it unsuitable.

Twunt is a far better word... I use it with friends that don't appreciate the c bomb. Does what it says on the tin, without too much offence.
Rog, re Diesel- the yard on the left (not that it's a yard) as you approach the top of Bingley on the left hand bend sells diesel - TOO late now but Pennine cruisers would have sold you some in Skipton or Snaygils (although they are not keen on letting you declare your own split).

Thanks for the diesel tip Mark, that'll do nicely. The joy of thunderboat is that everyone can post exactly what they like. But that includes us 'snowflakes' Rog

If you don't get diesel above bingley, he's only just started doing diesel from there again. Then next is at the marina below dobsons locks at apperly bridge.
