a stripping disc on the angel grinder slips that off nicely and leaves a good natural finish to the wood. Ideal. Is this left over from your Halloween celebrations?

That does not disallows living people from having similar good looks. Damhikt

Normally we would be out trick or treating tonight but this year we're going to dress up and stay in. Having the flat meant no one ever knocked, so today we're going to enjoy ourselves at home, The front door is surrounded by cob webs and the door window does glow red, the disco ball is in the hallway too. A few more things to do to finish off. I'll try for a better, the projector is casting ghouls and skulls.

Dark at five o’clock, hate it. Roll on winter solstice, and until then it is time to nidificate.

I like winter. One can get more and more depressed (if that is possible) and eventually the days get longer then Santa comes along a few days later to confirm it and one can carry on being depressed anyway.

No boarders last night so pepper spray and fire axe can go away again

Trying to think of a negative comment to out-do everything already posted but it just isn't coming.
Best I've got is 'garn'. Sorry folks.

Another manky morning, but it is November now, and after the heavy rain yesterday, the sun briefly came out ... a little more sun would be good for spirits.
Day off and I've booked a table for lunch with mates.
I could get used to these easy mornings.

"The Scotch and the Irish leave you close to tears". Oh dear. In his maudlin mood, maybe the Scotch (whisky) and Irish (whiskey) maybe would leave him close to tears.
