Very friendly and welcoming.
Will definitely go again.

Drizzle at the mo but the forecast for the next six days is for partly cloudy weather with little chance of rain, and temperatures in the 21-23 degree range, which is perfect "T shirt weather". Hoping the fine spell stretches into Bank Holiday weekend for the Brinklow Festival.
Had the side panels off the Scoopy after work and did a little more stickerbombing, just tidying up a few bits we didn't quite get right last weekend.

On 15 August 2024 Shit-for-Brains Coventon said :- No update with the Scoopy's V5C. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ It appears increasingly likely, that as a consequence of Police enquiries into Vince 'Mr Stabby' Coventon's hole and corner 'under the radar' existence, . . including the oft repeated fantasy about working for a company called Slam Transport, . . the DVLA is now looking into, amongst other irregularities, the matter of the false address in Kent that the lying psychopathic arsewipe has been declaring as his sole residence for the last 9(+) years ?

I just want to get my £372k cash legacy then I can relax and never buy another Boat, car or any land.
Having said that the job offers are coming thick and fast now I have advertised myself !
It could be a good 'un.
Worse things happen at sea.

Just stumbled across this former railway statipn for sale, isn't it lovely? Shropshire, my favourite UK county too, ever since I used to go youth hostelling there aged 14-15. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/former-victorian-railway-station-up-29733428It would be a wonderful home to own but at £975,000 I'm about £958,000 short of the asking price. However, I never get jealous of those who have more than I do and I never forget that there are some poor souls who are so down on their luck that they have to share a plastic bowl of Pedigree Chum with their dog.

Seems like agro to me having thousands of ghost passengers going past each day in ghost trains.
Spooky.

Looks pretty magical to me.
When I was a kid we had a week at the old Castle Howard Stationmaster's House .
No trains anymore but a signal box to play in and set in woodland too.
Glorious memories.

Blue sky and sunshine to start the day ... glorious ☀️
Think we'll visit the book store in the old barracks before we get on our way, it would be rude not to.
Buckby flight beckons.

Glorious sunshine this morning.
I may consider a jaunt in the gloating electric beer drinking platform a little later.

Moored at Two boats. Watched the Micron play last night, was very entertaining. Also had a decent steak here. Lovely warm day so staying here for the weekend I think. Pub seems to be thriving under new management. Makes a change.

It was lovely to finally meet Trina and Paul this morning. Sorry not to see Barney, though.... Happy travels, my fellow "old trout"! You've got to love 'em - those judgemental keyboard warriors with their misconceived ideas about us! Hope to see you again soon x
