Finished for the week although my line manager, Mr Slam, asked me this afternoon if I would be available tomorrow if required and I said I would. Will only be 3-4 hours work so finished by noon I would think. Not definite yet, depends what comes in overnight. Otherwise not too much planned for the weekend.

Bit of wind, bit of cloud, some sunshine ... not a bad morning.
Four weeks and we'll need to be back at Warwick and home for work.

I did get the call to go to work this morning, first Saturday I've done in ages. Should be finished by mid-day. Just a run up to Swadlingcote and now I'll be sitting around for an hour or two while they tip and load the trailer. Mark on the fuel boat should be round soon, he's been on his Summer break for 3-4 months so I imagine I'll be needing £100s worth of diesel, it should pay for that.

Busy day today, got a call yesterday for a scan at the hozzy, 8am. Distended aorta, ooh err! Feel fit as a fiddle. To the extent that I achieved another watery first today, waterskiing, started with a couple of goes holding a pole at side of boat, then a short rope bar off the pole, then long rope off the back. A couple of dumps but mastered it, great fun. Left my arms with muscle burn. Pics to follow. Got home to find a a letter for an appointment this afternoon at urology, so now sat waiting. Had to wind the staff up, obvs, had a coven of nurses cackling, asked the one who came to collect my sample whether she was the piss taker in chief. Has to be done.

On Aug 12, 2024 20:35:12 GMT 1 Mr Stabby, the nutter pictured below, said: Unlike some here, I fully understand the Law and do not think that different interpretations of it apply to me.
But ten days earlier, on Aug 2, 2024 17:39:33 GMT 1 this nutter had said: . . "I wouldn't have to had Jim not quoted convicted paedophile Tony Dunkley making yet another totally unprovoked personal attack on me. For as long as he continues to do so and others quote these personal attacks, I will do my best to get him badly beaten up. Just don't quote them . ." Then up to and including yesterday, this nutter who claims to claims such a extensive and deep understanding of how UK Law functions, posted my full postal address on the internet no less than a total of ten times :- "Unlike some here, I fully understand the Law and do not think that different interpretations of it apply to me."

Just in case my post has been superceded by repetitive dross. Update, had a blood sample taken, apparently I can now play the piano😂.

Worked until 11:00 this morning so 4 hours 45 minutes. Got back to the boat and dipped the diesel tank and I think I'll need 100 litres when Mark passes so what I earned today won't cover the cost of the fill-up but will go a fair way towrds it. Did the beer run which I always do the weekend after payday.
Miserable, cold and windy now, might light the stove.

Not actually cold ... just an autumnal feel to the evening I think.
Chance of showers over the next two or three days.
We'll take it a day at a time ... looks better towards next weekend 👍🏻

My birthday today but also I was duty instructor at the gliding club, so a busy day. My first task was a couple of check flights with one of our young members Reuben, and then I sent him off on his first solo. He is 15 so that is good! Being in command of an aircraft 2 years before he is allowed to drive a car! His mother was a bit nervous but we persuaded her. That is what mothers are for.
