I'm not. Ed Shiers did the solar on my mates boat ... Tom Malone did mine. I would recommend both to anyone, but I'd go to Tom Malone. Apart from the fridge I don't use enough power to warrant changing. Rog Malone’s main business is solar. He is probably quite good at that, but of course it is technically very simple. He is branching out into Li batteries, he is probably a bit out of his depth. Ed understands the issues with Li much better. Tom Malone lives on a boat. Every thing he uses has been tried and tested in his own home. He understands boats and is a fully qualified electrician. The Li system he sells is installed in his own boat. Rog

Oh and being a fully qualified electrician I presume means he is a fully qualified electrician for land based installations. Which has nothing much to do with boat installations as indeed a number of common practices for house wiring are verboten for boats. But clearly you are in love with him so I know I am wasting my breath. Just try not to snog him in public, it is demeaning.

I'm unsure where the rest of your post comes from, but no matter. Rog

Rog Mr Stabby lives on his boat and has tried and tested his electrical installation in his own home (not the fantasy one in Kent), but personally I wouldn’t really like to employ him to update my electrical system to his standards. As to the rest of my post, it came from my fingers, via Wi-Fi to a tethered phone, via 4G to an internet hub or 3 and thence by magic to your screen.

But on a serious note, this is the problem with the boating world, someone like Mr Malone can set himself up as a Li installer with absolutely no idea. He can connect up a few boxes from Victron etc, charge his customers a lot of money, and yes they do end up with something that works, but it works rather badly and wastes a lot of energy (diesel). Still probably they are blissfully ignorant so maybe it doesn’t matter.

No Quality…Galvanised metal mains backbox mounted onto, not sunken into the wall bottom left… Obviously a man who knows what he’s doing & takes pride in his work!😂😂 🙄 No wall to sink in to. Plywood. Free box. Earth connected.😛
