Thousands of people are gathering today in Towns and Cities across Germany calling for Angela Merkels resignation over the Open Door Immigration Policy. This of course comes in the wake of four brutal attacks this week which have left 13 dead.Despite the massive wave of criticism Merkel has defended her Policy proclaiming this week "we can do it".I suggest possibly another two or three attacks could finish both her,and the European Community. One of her key allies from Bavaria, Horst Seehofer the Bavarian Premier has launched a fresh attack on her leadership thus straining the Coalition that keeps her in power, saying that "we cannot do it" in reference to the 1.1 million immigrants and refugees that arrived in Germany in 2015. Well the old saying " the Germans don't like it up em " may be finally coming to pass, let me freely admit my admiration for the Germans, but you have to wonder what Britain would be like now, if Cameron had listened to the Eddie Izzards and Bob Geldofs of this world and opened the doors,it would have been total carnage !

Freedom of movement was fine when it involved the more developed countries in the EU, when it widened to include the former Eastern bloc countries it was doomed to failure. The refugee crisis and thats what it is is a different kettle of fish, the EU saw cheap labour, a way to cut costs and didnt consider anything else imo.
No consideration for the working class of their own countries.

The trouble with Angela Merkel is that she is east German and so she took in the idea of Total State Control with her mother's breast milk. She wouldn't look any different if she had STASI tattooed on her forehead.
I think she's toast now, I'd give her less than 50/50 odds of still being Führer at year's end. And, I have to say, a large part of that, and the German peoples' dissatisfaction, is our own heroic vote for Brexit.

Hardly heroic, virtually 100% of the media were promoting leave (the BBC were the main remain media outlet) and much of what was said about the EU was lies and misinformation. Those who dared to mention immigration were derided as racist, I was as guilty as anyone of that, but a decent amount of how it was phrased was at least heading towards racism even if the basic premise was sound. UKIPs poster campaign borrowed heavily from Nazi propaganda.

(the previous record was for the Conservative party at the 1979 General Election, at 13.7 million). In ten years time, you won't be able to find anyone admitting they voted "remain".

I don't see Andy how the actions of the Media can detract from the heroism of the voter and it was far from 100% of the Media who were promoting Leave. The Brexit campaign was always going to struggle with making predictions regarding the future because so much was an unknown quantity, but still the people took the view that the unknown was better than the Status Quo.

I dont think anyone wanted the status quo and it was more a question of who could be convinced that by voting to remain they could reform the EU from the inside, Juncker kiled that hope off and imo the last chance that remain had of being victorious. Camoron and co must have wanted to kill the officious little shit when he said no more negotiations.
