I wondered how long it would be. No, if someone insulted Jane I doubt you would forgive easily. Or maybe you wouldn’t give a shit, who knows? People have been murdered for calling someone’s spouse a liar. I am not proposing to do that (it would be a bit silly with this in the public domain) but I can wish the perpetrator an unpleasant future. As you ask ... I would trust that people here could fairly judge what was said and draw their own conclusions ... I would protest and defend ... I would not wish painful terminal illness on anyone. But I'm a 'holier than thou virtue signaller' who has a family member and close friend currently suffering painful, terminal ill health. Rog Exactly. You probably like Jeremy Corbin too.

Unpleasant and unworthy of you Telemachus ... you're much better than that Rog To be fair, I think the amount of harassment he's receiving from leyther would be a test for anyone. Leyther is rather typical of a cwdf poster, ignorant and a wind up merchant. Deserved of all he gets back. I don't disagree. But Nick's wish is particularly unpleasant. Rog

But then so is accusing my husband of lying when the perpetrator has no idea whether it is actually the case or not. Perhaps you missed the point which was that Jeff spent 22 years as a MacMillan cancer nurse specialist looking after seriously ill people and putting his heart and soul into that job. A job, if the thanks and praise he routinely received in letters and obituaries is anything to go by, he did extremely well. So it would be a fitting end if the person attacking him suffered an associated fate. I think it’s called Karma. But anyway, I gave him the option to be saved from the misery if he retracted his accusation. His choice.

No I think you will find that the interaction with Rog was tongue in cheek on both sides. Anyway I'm sorry if you find my defence of my husband unpleasant. But you could perhaps be even handed and say that you found the attack on him by a stranger equally unpleasant?

No-one from the Wigan Fight Crew have answered why it is necessary for them to be running the locks as their personal fiefdom. Surely there still can't be a "shortage of water" forever and ever... get those padlocks off, and get any sticky gates fixed, and stop hindering boaters who don't want to be overnight in Wigan.

I find any personal attack unpleasant..Jeff didn't deserve that but some of your comments are pretty awful..mentioning Hillsborough etc is not really enhancing your argument. You come over as a nice bloke.. but those words just make me very uncomfortable..guess I'm a snowflake really... I did misread the intent in those to Rog probably because of the tone of your other posts.... We judge on what we see....I'm just pleased that Ive met you and realise that underneath the keyboard warrior there is a different person. I'm not criticising u standing up for Jeff at all and I apologise if thats how it seems. If Leyther not present at the incident all he's doing is judging on facts reported and we all know there are many sides to a story..the truth can only be known by those present..his attack on Jeff is based on here say and no I don't like it....

I’m not getting involved in this one, however I am mindful of the expression that curses, like chickens, come home to roost.

I have never met Nick but I have liked a lot of his posts, Nck and Jeff were there on the day Leyther is just reporting heresay, which we all know can be anything. Nick is doing the right thing supporting hes husband of many years, I do believe Nick is telling the truth and maybe someone eles is just stirring up trouble, after all what has Nick got to gain from this? nothing really

Well Nick, that's a little disappointing, I reckon the red mist on the day has clouded your memory. The first point is your opinion which is fine. The other two points are blatant lies written to reinforce your view. The very suggestion that any volunteer would "shove" anyone is preposterous. ... "Perhaps you will retract your insult but if not, I really hope you come to a fitting end such as a miserable, painful and early death from some particularly nasty haematological illness. And soon." My only concen was regarding the quote. I suspect with his background Jeff would find describing such 'hopes' as unnecessarily unpleasant and even indefensible. I suspect someone with such close personal experience may be sensitive to such matters. Just to clarify, I have no doubt whatsoever that you are accurately describing the events as you saw them. And I still love you Rog

And I still love you Rog I gave him a choice, that was nice of me! As I said, Jeff is much nicer than me so you are probably right. But I am what I am. Quite horrible, so get over it. Fortunately my voodoo is weak so I suspect nothing will come of it. We can’t all be cheek-turning pacifists, refusing to press the big red button when doom and destruction are seconds away like your buddy Jeremy.
