My LC, not long after i first had it, it now has a pair of new old stock genuine pipes and baffles on it. Its Buried at the back of the garage so no current pics I'm afraid.
Capri in the background was my first car, leaf green 1.6l that kept it's original paint but ended up much modified - the Capri did for year round motorcycling, girls much preferred riding about in that than on the back of a bike - even in 1997!
I had a Capri 1.6 exactly the same as yours except for the reg no. It got me my first wife! I loved it and went on to get the 2.8i, which was pure joy!

I had a Capri 1.6 exactly the same as yours except for the reg no. It got me my first wife! I loved it and went on to get the 2.8i, which was pure joy! It was an ace car, I did the head, stuck a 2.0 cam in it, 4 branch manifold and 2" exhaust on it, Webber 32/36 carb off a 3.0s rejetted to suite. Went well for a wee 1600. Loads of chassis and brake work, genuine rs2000 wheels, the list went on. Having the car was a revelation in terms of girls, the last one to start dating me with that car is still here 18 years and one small person later. Finally run out of money and had the chance of buying my dad's house at a sensible price so it was replaced by a misery 1600 diesel fiesta, that got an XR2 make over - although fairly slow it handled a dream, it was like riding a small bike, all about maintaining your hard won speed at all costs! Braking was an absolute last resort Dad has always fancied a 2.8, any flavour Capri goes for daft money now, so unlikely to happen anytime soon!
