It's difficult to post with your arse in an ice bucket Rog Why would this negatively impact the hands?

We had to go to Kalajoki - appointment at health centre - no-one in Kalajoki was wearing a face mask - not even in the health centre. Looks like Finns simply don't care about the coronavirus - either that or they are just as stupid as stupid can be. We wore face masks but are beginning to feel a little stupid also. But then, why have the borders of countries been closed for all these months, people laid off work (still are), airlines shut down, etc. I found a cycle lock lighter than those I have (OK, it's a cheap lock but might help when I nip into shops), some plastic tyre levers (all of my metal tyre levers but one are on our boat), and some 'Lipsil' and sun cream. Aiming be off in the cool around 4am tomorrow. My fears are: 1) back wheel spokes will snap. 2) my back or knees will pack up, or I will only get as far as Kannus (16 miles) and be too exhausted to carry on. 3) thunderstorms predicted for Thursday - I may get struck by lightening. The Witch will come to rescue me as far as Kivijรคrvi, and my son may rescue me south of Nastola, but between those points I'm on my own. Are you still alive? Yes, but been busy and changes to plans. All good, however. But no table top computer until I get home and a bit difficult to write in these circumstances.

We just had changed of plans because Chris is due to see her consultant on 1st of July but received a phone call saying that the appointment will now be a phone consultation. This is the 2nd time she has had the phone chat because Addenbrookes think it's too dangerous for Chris to actually attend. The course of the virus seems to be still running unfettered albeit at a lower death rate but still is a force to be reckoned with Phil

Its concerning regarding what is not being addressed due to Corona

I'm pretty sure you won't. I'd be happy to bet ยฃ50 on it, that we will be going in June. I have that feeling. So....Are you going to paypal bodger the fifty quid you owe him or send a cheque / do a bank transfer? ๐

You missed this: Naughtyfox: "I am 50% sure that we will be off to Newbury (and on to Bristol!) in June"
The rabid badger will not be getting ยฃ50 off me as there was no bet set - although I was happy to bet ยฃ50, there was no reciprocal "No you won't be!" betting. It was a rhetorical bet. If it had been a real bet between me and someone else, then yes, I would stump up - as anyone who knows me would attest.
Looking back, I have to wonder why I thought that... I'm sure our plane tickets to Heathrow had already been cancelled by then (still waiting for refund from Finnair, who have thousands of complaints lodged against them, although Finnair did return our Japan flights monies... we should have been off to Osaka, Tokyo and Tohoku for a couple of weeks in May).
Finnair's prices for Helsinki-Heathrow for July set at 133 Euros which is suspiciously too cheap - is it because they aren't actually carrying anyone...? 13th/14th July next review date for the Finland-UK border re-opening for 'non-essential' travel.

Oh! maybe I shouldn't be so magnanimous.
hmmmmm - paypal - Foxxy, send me your email address and I'll send you a paypal invoice by return.

Yes. It was his brother's money. Bloke died in a bizarre accident where an aircraft was impacted and destroyed by a jet ski which had hit an unusually large wave. He was on the jetski.
They never found him however all the dead plane passengers were accounted for.
I was quite annoyed that the bloke I dealt with ended up getting $66.5million out of it.
Nothing is fair in life.
5 percent is 5 percent.
