"Footballers are not generally known for their intellect, but I don’t think it requires much in the brainbox department to realise there is a nasty aspect to the Black Looting Murderers movement. With that said, I seriously doubt ALL footballers agree with everything BLM stands for and condones. So the question is, why are ALL footballers showing public support for BLM? Why isn’t the player’s union sticking up for those players who would prefer not to ‘take a knee’ or wear shirts with BLM written on them? Seems to me the players are either thick, living under a dictatorship or both. Has anyone seen an interview with any players recently who have clearly stated they are against racism and discrimination, but also against violence directed at the police and public at large? Not to mention the looting, criminal damage and murders. Thought not." I think they stick together as a group. Team game and all that. Pier pressure? It’s similar to why I haven’t been staying out our boat. Being seen to do what feels like the right thing.

Do these thick footballers realise the trouble they’re going to cause? Of course not. £300k a week and living in a gated community whilst virtue signalling." "It would be a brave footballer who dared question this latest hysteria…he’d be finished. Academia,The Arts, Sport, Politicians…. I can only think of Lawrence Fox who dared defy The Mob and some politician who couldn’t hit reverse-gear quick enough when he realised what he’d done. Our “Leaders” and “Influencers” are either going along with this shit or have enough sense to know that there can be no disagreeing with a “woke” mob mentality. The idea that Free Speech exists in this country is a fallacy in the current climate."

So in my local cafe, the owner tells me this morning whilst shopping black youth stopped and searched, a young lady present starts harranging the police about it! Copper pulls huge knife from waistband of youths trousers and shows it young lady as explanation, young lady says black youth needs it for protection against bent and racist cops!!! WE have no hope we are doomed I tell you doomed [best private frazer voice]

It's rather ironic that a group who personally benefit from what is surely one of the best examples of the excesses of capitalism should support something that would lead to their downfall. As for why they support it: a/ they are told to b/ they are too thick to know any different.

I understand the council removing it until a consensus is reached on what should be put in the place ... however I liked it ... it captured the moment rather well ... 'Surge of Power' was a great title for it too, and it told a terrific story linking Bristol's history to today.

It was transported to the museum where colson statue is. Put them facing each other with an accurate portrayal of Colsons behaviour.

Removing one and replacing one of yourself speaks volumes. I hope it gets smashed up.
