Just had HMS Tamar outward bound from Tower bridge. Bit of a beast. Quite a new warship she is. I think one would get out of the way if she was doing 24 knots.. 300ft long quite a bit of momentum there. "Engine room please.. Ramming speed !"

Have you been past the big ugly submarine boat at the bottom of the locks?

River Lee tug. Not sure but there are some other very similar ones which were London canal tugs. Have not checked but I think possibly built by EC Jones Brentford just beside where the late NigelMoore had a mooring.

They (BW) sold them off including a similar one called "FALCONBROOK" which was sadly scrapped soon after sale. There is another FALCONBROOK on the Thames at Sunbury as well totally different tug. The no longer extant FALCONBROOK That one was one of the ones with a Lister 6 pot air cooled engine in it. It looks like Ruislip has a water cooled unit. I guess the air cooled ones were handy where the water was dirty or shallow. RUISLIP in action at Braunston

url=https://ibb.co/j3fygBP] [/url] New resident boat below Radford lock ... fine looking wooden boat. Rog ETA apparently a wooden hull, built in 1910 as a butty ... looks in good shape
