I wonder if there will be panic buying again. Noticed Tesco have already put on limits for number of bags of pasta per customer. It would be good if it doesn't go silly like it did before. We started sending out shed loads of toilet rolls. Sometimes I could have spent all night bringing down pallets of them but seems to have calmed now. Lots and lots of Stella getting sent to stores though.

Can I point out they aren't "wild campers" but nobs you can't go to the campsites and are using public spots en masse. You wouldn't know a real wild camper had been there or indeed they are even there. I meant Wild as in the most literal meaning of the word! I guessed your intention but just wanted to point it out. Don't want to be tarred with that brush.

We are a tier 2 area Jayne is a tier 1 area, I saw no difference between the two areas. Jayne and I are in a bubble so we can go to each others houses/boats, we are both taking precautions whilst out and about, however wherever you look their are knobheads that dont give a shit! Unfortunately they are mostly young, because if they were older those knobheads would maybe catch the virus and die getting rid of one part of the problem! Now today on the radio all I have heard is knobheads bleating about why they shouldnt be made a tier 3 area and why their should be a national lockdown, it was all about money, well clearly they dont give a stuff about the majority as long as they are alright, I mean its perfictly logical to them that a law abiding area with low cases should pay for the knobheads of Liverpool Manchester etc, where in truth I cant see it I would have the Army on the street in tier 3 areas shooting the knobheads that are spreading the virus because their personal freedoms are being infringed!! Rant over Unbelievable post! Im beginning to think you have a fixation with guns. Not American are you?? No I am pissed off with burham whining about Manchester being a special case, because Derbyshire borders onto it those areas look like being taken up a tier. This is all local problems, so it has to be dealt with locally, somebody in Devon shouldnt be paying for the problem in other areas where they dont obey the rules

There certainly is an argument for stricter enforcement. Maybe social gatherings should be dispersed by Arnie. "I need you to leave the area" in an Arnie voice "I'll be back".

On one hand he argues for a national 'circuit breaker'. Then, when conditions probably similar to a 'circuit breaker' are suggested for his area, because it has a high number of cases, he screams a hissy fit. The guy is a first class prick. Al he can do is grandstand, play the big man, always aligning himself to causes where he knows the bullshit he spouts will be popular. Always banging on about Hillsborough which is nowt do to with Manchester but don't let his job get in the way of trying to gain popularity. And then: 'We will end homelessness in Manchester'. What, really, by continually pushing for higher standards of housing, how's that going to help homelessness?

The lock-down lasted from 23 March to 24 May ... much more than two weeks. If it worked we wouldn't be where we are now. Road deaths also fell in that period because we removed ourselves from the risk ... but once we put ourselves back out there they rose. The virus exists ... it is not a bombing raid ... there is no 'all clear' ... social inter-action will cause it to spread. Accepting personal responsibility and choosing what risks we are each prepared to countenance seems the only solution. Besides many, many of the workforce have never stopped working keeping the shops supplied, deliveries, nursing and carers etc. It's a bit rich to seek to remove oneself from risk whilst relying on others to supply one. Rog @blacksheep is miles off - I got hammered financially during lockdown while still having to work part-time and pay extra for child care; key worker school provision didn't work for us. I had my first full month's wages for September - If we have another lockdown through October I'll be back to square one. Stopping the world completely hasn't worked till now; it won't work a second time; the targeted approach is worth a try, harsh on those in tier 3 areas but perhaps bit more pressure from those in tier 3 on the dickheads who put them there may help! The risks are now well known - mouse knows what he needs to do and the potential consequences to his health if he plays fast and loose with his exposure to other people outside of his bubble/family. Absolutely no reason to shut the country down again of he chooses to ignore/avoid the things he needs to do to protect himself.

The dickheads at Greencore massively skewed Northamptonshire's August weekly average - a few hundred wankers and the whole house of cards falls down now 😬😵

My mental health is already suffering at the thought of another long term lockdown.

Having said that there was a campsite on the local news tonight who is going through his bookings checking the postcode of the person coming, and then cancelling the booking if its tier 3, advising against coming if tier 2 the bloke has the right idea. We need a travel/overnight stay ban as well as the 3 tiers.

My mental health is already suffering at the thought of another long term lockdown. Not being funny or anything - but what elevates your worries above mine? Another national lockdown screws me over again. My wife works on the frontline at KGH, miraculously we have avoided the dreaded lurgy despite a couple of close calls. By in large it's because we have made double sure that outside of the things we can't control (work and childcare) we have done our level best ((at some personal sacrifice) to avoid being in situations where we may be exposed to others who couldn't give a shit. Why should we come to a standstill once again just to ease your worries? Granted; It's not a pissing competition, but as dogless has said - nationwide lockdowns don't work.

Tier 3; Avoid non-essential travel Travel outside area advised against Avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK if resident in a Tier 3 area
But not banned or mandatory legally.
I think there is little doubt that the restrictions are to allow the NHS in the affected areas to take a breath and try and keep on top of things. Whether it is the young or the old causing the rise in cases the fact is that hospital admissions are rising rapidly. Their staff deseerve a breather.
