Maybe rather than a fine of £1,000 there could be a culling regime. Anyone testing positive to be executed on site. Exclusions to include people with minor aged chidren. That'll show 'em. Too many people about already. Overpopulation is going to do far worse things in the future. Won't someone think of the children. A proper cull out of unhealthy specimens will really tidy the place up. while we're about it, we should execute anglers in lock cuts and landings, small children who scream continuously while splashing about in the river, cyclists who use footpaths and speed without giving any warning when approaching walkers, anyone who drops litter larger than a cigarette end.
we should do everything we can to slim down the world's population by removing the wankers and vermin.

Oh eck, I'd better start trying to enjoy myself, before my time is up.

Mass travel from other countries unless the journey is absolutely essential - Foxy I'm looking at you. And even then the people traveling should be subject to strict quarantine and testing. We don't do 'mass travel' - it's just the two of us. How about all the illegal immigrants turning up in their dinghies and being escorted to 4-star hotels by Border Force... shouldn't they be at least checked for the Chinky Flu? Talking of travelling, we have grabbed enough filming 'footage' from the Turku archipelago for another YouTube video, watch this space!

Nothing, which is why I even went to the point of expressing that this was my view in some of my posts. Some people have no idea what living with anxiety is like. It can really fuck with your mental health. Its an absolute nightmare is what it is. I've learned what mostly triggers mine off so avoid them or try real hard to overcome the anxiety I know will happen.

Yup. Steer clear of triggers, if possible.

No I am pissed off with burham whining about Manchester being a special case, because Derbyshire borders onto it those areas look like being taken up a tier. This is all local problems, so it has to be dealt with locally, somebody in Devon shouldnt be paying for the problem in other areas where they dont obey the rules We need a travel/overnight stay ban as well as the 3 tiers. Says the person who lives in Devon but happily travels to and all round East Anglia for a pleasure trip. You couldn't make it up!!

Schools open. Infections pop up all over the place. Close the schools say I!
There is no virus. It's government manipulated mass hysteria. They are having a laugh, handing out loads of Wonga to their mates at private accounting firms, and, at the bequest of China, bankrupting the country so it's ripe for a takeover.
Hong Kong was a colony of the UK... soon the UK will be a colony of Hong Kong!
Anyway, a fact is that we were surprised how many people are wearing masks down here in south-west Finland. Nearly all shop staff, maybe 70% of customers. Not mandatory - I expect it's 'peer pressure' and 'government advice'.
My advice for government ministers would be to take a big drop in salaries and plough that back into the economy, especially in this pressing time... but... they do not want to hear that, do they?!
Propaganda or Pandemic? You decide!

I hope @blacksheep returns..as others have said we all need somewhere to discuss stuff that bothers us and whilst we all have differing views this is a good place to vent. I think Mental Health problems are being worryingly exacerbated by this pandemic and there will be many more lives lost as a result. Corona is being used as an excuse to cancel apt leaving the vulnerable even more so. Communities in some places have pulled together but they cannot help those who do not reach out. I do try and phone my old friends who I know are struggling but its not the same as face to face..they don't have smart phones so u cannot do face time.

I'm still waiting to find out if my colleague tested positive or negative.
My sister (the nurse) has had blood tests and chest x rays this week as her breathing can be quite laboured when exerting herself (like walking uphill).
It appears changes have occured in her lungs since contracting covid in May and there are areas of inflamation. She awaits blood test results, and will have to have chest x rays again in two months time to see what is happening. They believe the changes are post viral but linked ... 'long covid' as they're now calling it.
She's working and well but for this 'heavy breathing' but it is clear that the medical people have no real idea what covid19 is or does and are still learning as they go.
I believe we'll simply have to learn to live with it.
