Perfect. Pallet wood is designed to have a tonne or more of product stacked on it and then be transported half-way across the world on ferocious oceans. Were these heat treated pallets or did you manage to get some of the rare and classic Methyl Bromide ones ? At one stage the latter were seen as an attractive option for making incredibly cool beds in very expensive loft conversion flats. They keep the bugs away apparently. I haven't seen a MB treated pallet for years now, I think they stopped using it in the early 2000s and even then it was normally only used on consignments from dodgy insect-infested places, India sort of thing. As I burn what I don't use on the stove I'd only use HT pallets.
