Iām talking present day. Why do you always seek to undermine my posts? At one point you were even accusing me of not actually taking the pictures I posted. It seems to be a creepy obsession with you. Iām still looking forward to bumping into you again. I posted because I live in London and like London.
If my post undermines your post or not is up to others to decide, I just wanted to give a picture of how I see things.
I only said you had done some editing to your picture not that you hadn't taken it.
Looks into going via Thames and Oxford instead.....
You gave a picture of last years figures, which have no relevance to the present figures, other than historical value. You use every opportunity to set out and attempt to undermine my posts.

Whatever, post what you like, if I think I have a valid comment to make (even if it undermines your post) I'll continue to do so.

Make light of it as you will, but do not make me feel like I am being stalked.

Whether it's one a day or one a week doesn't change the fact that people seem to care a lot more about a young white female, rather than a young black person. I think it's more that a stranger abduction and murder is far less common than a gang-related stabbing and is therefore by definition more newsworthy. There may also be a feeling that turf wars are part and parcel of being in a drugs gang and again murder goes with the territory.

This has always been something I don't understand.
Why doesn't domestic violence get the same response (from the press and police) as gang/turf crimes?
It's sort of a general question to add to Ricco's question/discussion topic rather than trying to make any point.

I don't understand either. OK, back in time when society was as it was, and was generally accepted for what it was, things tended to be categorised based on perceived importance/ public interest. You'd think that nowadays, with 'equality' apparently being at the forefront of everything that these old divisions would be consigned to the dustbin. Rather than this it seems that this notion of equality has achieved the very opposite of its aims i.e. polarise, divide and create conflict, rather than achieve societal harmony.

We are all equal, but some are more equal than others. So said a wise man, once upon a time.

To me we still seem largely 'back in time' and I think that is what the protests/campaigns try to change. (comment on press/politicians/police/courts)
Just my perspective on life though.

Bedruthan, can you push him over the weir please? Getting close, my only concern is convincing the police it was a mercy accident.

Just watching RT, it's an interesting contrast to the BBC. Apparently the solution to this problem is to make actions that are considered to be misogynistic 'hate crimes'. I guess the important thing here is who decides what is misogynistic. It's been suggested that if a 'victim' considers an action to be misogynistic...then it is. Another suggestion is that there should be a defined list that might include, amongst other things:
Telling a woman that she's attractive Winking at a woman Wolf whistling at a woman Looking at a woman's breasts
Just imagine: woman goes out in a low cut top to enhance her body shape, as is her right. Man glances in her direction. Two possible outcomes:
a/ young attractive man glances in her direction. Woman is happy, she made the most of what she has, the right type of man noticed. Life is good, woman feels very happy, not threatened.
b/ Old/ fat/ ugly/ scruffy man delivers the same glance as the young stud. Woman is not happy. It's her right to dress as she does, she should be able to do this without unwanted attention. Police are called, old/ fat/ ugly/ scruffy man is arrested for a 'hate crime'.
If you thought Covid created a dystopian society..you aint seen nothing yet.
