Yes I did speak to the 2 livaboards, they freely admitted they didnt want to move shops close, water on hand and its winter so nobody but us two boats wanted to use the moorings! which was wrong because boats turne up and went away because there was no room

You have very little boating experience, and you have no experience of boating outside of Rotherham. Stick to fixing jags with your mate Dave. I understand it's one thing your good at. (well, apart from fridges and coolers).

Just this year the EO had to move off 3 boats from visitor moorings, they were constant cruisers that had set up home there, 2 were livaboards the 3rd was a move and dumper who didnt want to pay for winter moorings. All 3 were trying to use the floods in one direction to increase their already over 2 weeks overstay. The EO moved them on with warnings. The boaters on the home moorings said these three were constant overstayers and they were sick to death of them. This is the most recent of my experiences with constant moorers. I have had lots of previous with little villages on my travels. Even now there is a boat dumped on a 48 hr visitor mooring near me its been there over a week, why there when they could moor on the other side for 14 days? and attract no attention from CRT. I now have lost interest in this thread so enjoy yourselves at the meetings Norty fox keeps asking for details press releases etc and non are forthcoming so 250 people wasted a saturday? I wont say boaters because we dont know that do we? As regards Press Releases, the March was not a Boaters March but a march against Austerity which was covered in the Media. There is no Boating News to publish as such other than the impressions myself and Kris gained of the Boaters who had turned out from many areas to show support and highlight issues they are facing. How relevant those impressions are to others I don't know.I have posted the date of the Protest at CRT HEAD OFFICE next month this I guess will be more relevant to Naughty Fox and others.

I suspect that I started boating before you were born and I have lived on boats of various types for nearly half my life so why do you assume that I have no experience?

I actually came and looked at a car you were advertising for sale in 2007.

I will probably have one more before giving up driving, but it will probably be an Aston.
