I wonder where his phone was if she was able to "Take it".
Presumably he was completely shitfaced and non responsive and the only way to communicate was by taking the phone.
One must ask the obvious question which is why did she not remove herself from the area? That would be the logical thing to do unless you were specifically wanting to have a fight.
Some people are specifically wanting to have a fight. It just the way it is. Never understood why but there we are.

Her view could possibly have been that she was doing nothing wrong, why should she be 'forced' to leave the area?

Yes I know, that on an odd occasion, that might be difficult to almost impossible but it should still be the first sensible option

I know you'll say it's just a word, but I really hate the 'c' word.I can eff & blind with the best of them, but that word just seems so insulting to wimmin. Don't need the posts of how it's just a word-I just do not like it !😡 It's often factually wrong too, the people being labelled often have no warmth or depth whatever.

Sometimes you manage to find funny ones in your book. I'm quite impressed.
I would have used "whatsoever" as the last word though.

There was no emotion in that at all. Your right about the picture, he went from denial to confessing. In seconds. He must have realised the game was up as soon as the Filth knocked on his door. Deal is in east Kent, around 65 miles away from where she disappeared. If you lived in the next street you would expect a house-to-house call but what are the chances of Plod knocking on some random's door 65 miles away and arresting them for kidnap on the off chance that they had by some miracle hit on the right person and that he would confess?

Scarper lads, it's the filf. (sic)

Or as they used to say in "The Sweeney", "I found the swag from the blag stashed in this slag's gaff".

I once tried to explain the term 'Sweeney' to a Norwegian chap. It was surprisingly difficult.
Random thought - one I didn't know until a while ago: 'Scarper' - Scapa Flow - Go.

An ill kept one, apparently. Not that I'd use that kind of language myself of course.
