I haven't read the legislation but does that only prevent the sale of it? Does using it create an offence?

The obvious question is if you did buy a load of wet wood and failed to dry it to the 20% or whatever moisture content would you be committing an offence by burning it? I often burn damp wood. It lasts longer like that and ticks over the hours. The fire has a stainless flue so not all that worried and that's in the countryside boat so not subject to the clean air act problem.

Told you it’s your fault. Burning damp wood? You’ll be hung drawn and quartered. Don’t you dare go and cut your own wood, you terrorist you.

Somehow I've.ended up with the eyes and ears and bladder and something else of an old man. Memory, that's the one.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've always used bowsaws but my attention was recently drawn to the usefulness of cordless chainsaws. Obviously one would have a Makita but a very interesting and slightly cheaper item is the Ego 1400 cordless chainsaw. 56 volts. About £300 with battery and charger. It's quieter than a lot of the others. One disadvantage is it takes a couple of seconds to get up to speed but tis seems like an advantage to me as it gives a bit of time to prepare for the cutting.. probably not ideal for professional use but for processing large volumes of firewood I think it could be a really handy unit. Could be quite a good plan to have one of these what with the Armageddon on the horizon..

Also quite interesting for avoiding the need to buy manufactured solid fuel products.

Everything is going to be illegal at some point so probably best to just get on with it ?
