As I did not vote in this poll and I like statistical tidiness it's now 10/10.

HS2 is a transport system designed for those who can afford it (and have a use for it) which isn't you or I. It will promote business which will have no direct or indirect value for the many. It doesn't matter who was, is or will be in power. It is a crime that the route called for the destruction of so many quite ancient natural habitats which was an act of government-sponsored vandalism. I've been looking for a picture of the Roman road laid straight through a pagan burial site in Hertfordshire but I couldn't find one so you'll just have to imagine it. If you look at the path of HS2 then yes some countryside has been altered and a bit lost Since 1945 Britain has lost 140,000 miles of hedgerow and 40% of ancient woodland. Britain's wildlife has declined in some instances by 25% as a direct consequence.

Why does it matter if there are more contactless card users than oyster card users? It doesn’t, but it helped you by moving the convo away from the pricing crap you were quoting. I was only telling him about a viable alternative to the underground. But noted.

Back on topic. At least they aren’t funded by the Chinese. You need to widen your reading list, don't just stick to Tory comics. Christine Lee: Chinese ‘spy’ received letter of thanks from Theresa May and met Cameron, the Tories have been encouraging Chinese funds for all sorts of projects. Under consecutive Conservative Party-led governments since 2010, Britain has become overwhelmingly the largest recipient of Chinese investment in Europe. The fox should be on the case rather than all the fake news covid crap.

Having a party the night before the Queen sat alone in church for her partners funeral is beyond belief.
I say that as a tory supporter.

I wonder if Johnson is playing the long game. Quite an interesting tactic. He has from the beginning been quite sceptical about the whole covid nonsense.
The theory may be that over time more and more people will come to realise it was all rather a silly setup/over reaction.
He did do some coded references to this fact for example the visiting hospitals and shaking hands etc.
Almost like someone "in the know" attempting to tell people while his hands were tied.
At some point people will get this and vote him back in..
Or not.
