You have none, so treat yourself to a bottle. Just for starters - you can have the hat as your main course if you wish...
Yeh, laughable.

No, andrews post has a link to an opinion. it's based on facts by statsica from numbers released by TFL. There are numerous sources talking about those numbers.

It's pretty obvious that people will use bank cards and mobile phones more and more.
It's inevitable this will happen. There will remain people who can't for one reason or another or don't want to but the vast majority will use these.
Most probably mobile phones will take over because of the appeal of having one device to to everything.
I personally baulk at having a phone linked to bank account but do use contactless debit card all the time.
It is part of human nature to be drawn to convenience.

Are you saying you can't lose or drop an oyster card? Yes - I said if you lose it, no matter, just a few quid for a replacement. Drop your bank card down into the escalator and you're pretty much fucked for the rest of the day/week/month. And you'll end up having to buy an Oyster card until you get a replacement bank card! Unless you have a good friend who will lend you their bank card... I use my phone. Card stays secure.

Maybe it's a rare side effect of the covids.

Yebbut spend an hour on an underground train and you spend the rest of the day blasting black gunk comprised chiefly of brake shoe dust, human skin and pulverised rat droppings out of your nostrils. I've always found the Underground to be part of the experience of a day out in London. Little bit of incongruous trivia here. For five years you could travel on an underground train to watch a public hanging.

TFL have been trying for a long time to get rid of oyster, it has substantial cost issues for them. The problem is, it’s a popular asset for heavy users, and is much preferred over other payment options. They have been putting out all sorts of bumf in order to discourage people from using oyster, and the sad thing is, the pandemic has been their saviour.

Jeez,. You mentioned travel to central London. I have another option that is far quicker to certain places. There's a train that takes you to Paddington in 15 minutes, after you've just missed one and have 15 minutes to wait for the next. So that makes 30 minutes. As I've said, Paddington is miles from the centre of London, so you'll have to get on the Underground anyway to get somewhere proper. I have travelled in London - lots and lots - so have a fairly good idea of what's quickest and best all round all-in-all. So once Crossrail is complete you agree it will go somewhere proper...

Why does it matter if there are more contactless card users than oyster card users?
What info do you have that makes the claim wrong?

And what I was trying to point out Telemachus is that money is spent on the government's priorities ... and that they are not my priorities. I agree that money should be spent on both the symptoms and the causes of inequality. But relax ... what you and I think counts for nothing really Rog

Why does it matter if there are more contactless card users than oyster card users? It doesn’t, but it helped you by moving the convo away from the pricing crap you were quoting.
