Not happy with the John Lewis boss. Seems to be saying that it’s partly my fault that inflation is rocketing, particularly in the UK. Think she’s suggesting that I should go stack shelves for her...Edit to add google says JL boss earned well over a million a year past few years.. your 1 to 20 ratio means there lowest payed earn 50k plus then? maybe JL pay ratio has changed, they used to have some limit to the ceiling. Yes I think they did. All the little piggies done away with such structures now.

"The TikTok 'summer sale' for migrants: Smuggler gangs launch 'closing down sale' and slash price of Channel crossings by £1,500 per person as traffickers target Albanians on social media. Multiple accounts have been found on TikTok selling Channel crossings at slashed prices this summer The accounts come with advice on using the asylum system to then stay in UK, with the help of their lawyers Nine gangs believed to be running the illegal route from France to UK, claiming: 'The French won't stop you' " "Another 150 migrants were picked up in Dover after being rescued from the English Channel on Monday.......... 18,000 have arrived so far this year." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11094265/TikTok-summer-sale-migrants-Smuggler-gangs-launch-closing-sale-target-Albanians.html They don't even seem very grateful!

I was banned from CWDF for (politely and respectfully) opposing the criminal actions of their now-departed member "Cotswoldman" who was openly helping to organise people-smuggling operations from Calais, not only because of the social issues caused in the UK but because of the danger to those being smuggled from the cross-Channel trip. Subsequent to this, 27 people drowned when their dinghy capsized in the Straits of Dover.
The "owner" of CWDF is scum. There is no other word to describe Daniel Hutchinson.

As I've said many times on here and elsewhere, Labour are simply Conservatives in red ties. We could for example not have had a policy of unrestricted immigration when we already had an acute housing shortage although I do accept that this was more to do with our eu membership than whichever party was in power at the time. We either need fewer people or more housing, neither should be beyond the powers of Government to bring about. Nowt to do with the EU or refugees. It's about a shortage of houses. We have enough builders, the block is nimby concerns about them being built next door to by those already comfortably ensconced. The chicane is Planning Permission. There are too many people, and what's needed is a cull. This is where the Covid vaccines come in...

it's certainly a better starting point than "how much Dosh can I get for me and my mates by being a self interested lieing toe rag" aka Tory. the then increasing control of the Unions and through them the Labour party by Communist and Trotskyite activists (if you don't believe me go read the percentage of far left members on the executive of such unions as AEU NUM TGWU NUR Union of Postoffice Workers etc etc .... the details can be found easily enough, from memory at one time there were 10 communists on the executive commitee of the TGWU)

It's a bit strong to call planning permission laws 'chicanery'. You might as well say that the NHS is a fascist organisation because the rest of the world wants in. The truth is that neither of these things took mass immigration and population growth into account when they were conceived. Planning permission is there to prevent unscrupulous and inappropriate construction, is all. If there's any chicanery it occurs in back-handers by developers who will take any any opportunity available. I was on the fence in the case of Mr Fiddler though. I liked his gall, but he should have known his scheme would ultimately and correctly fail. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeycrock_Farm

"Seriously, I was a naive chugger once. I chugged for Greenpeace because I believed in it at the time. I was so zealous that I went on the interwebs to get more data about sea level rise for my region. Nada. A couple of millimetres if that. It led to a journey of unravelling all the global warming alarmist claims. I still feel bad about the people I chugged before I saw the light."
"Charities often spend the money we give them in ways completely unrelated to their supposed cause... Like the RNLI who now spend more time and money providing a taxi service for human traffickers than they do saving lives in an emergency."

Chicane, a blockage or restriction. Somewhat different to Chicanery. Planning Permission is also about what gets built where, as well as build quality. Hence nimbies having their two penn'orth. There is also a land holding issue where investors buy land, get permission then sit on it.

We're soon to have our 'annual' global employee conference (first since 2019). It was to be held in the Netherlands, in spite of the various points I'd made against that choice, which were disregarded by the organizing muppets.
So last week I was having a discussion with our big cheese, around some plans we're making.
"Excellent. We can announce this at the global conference" he said.
"You do realise I can't go to that, don't you?"
"How come?"
" "No Covid jab = can't get into the Netherlands without urgent business need, approved by the Dutch embassy. A week-long jolly apparently doesn't count. And it won't be just me - UK.gov says 1 in 4 aren't up to date enough on their covvivax to get into Netherlands"
"Errr... Hmm. Leave it with me."
2 days later, there was an announcement that the conference will be in Exeter.
So that's about 200 people who won't be travelling to NL, hiring a car in NL, booking a hotel room in NL, spending in bars & restaurants in NL. All of that revenue will be coming to the UK, after our organising muppets had a very direct "fix this, right now" order from the big man. "

"My brother is blind having lost his sight 20 years ago. I’m still having to put him up as the local authority continues to claim there isn’t any social housing available. They just finished building a block of social housing near to where we live... yep, you guessed it, it’s full to the brim with Romanian gypo vermin. When I contacted the housing department to ask why a disabled British citizen who paid his taxes before his injury and who’s family pay their taxes and had been for generations couldn’t be housed, but Eastern Europeans could, I was told by what sounded like an African woman that she didn’t like my attitude and had the phone put down on me.
So, in summary, if you’re severely disabled and British, there’s no chance of being even considered for accommodation, but if you’re a jobless, Romanian thief, here’s your keys for a free half a million pound property.
I thought these sub-humans were meant to fuck off after Brexit? What happened there?"

"How about just stopping them from arriving in the first place? We gave you Brexit, you said we couldn't control of our borders because of the EU, well we are out, why hasn't this stopped? Why can't these people just be returned to France?" "The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has hit out at accusations it is operating a “migrant taxi service” even though they are" "Currently, the Home Office has 37,000 people in hotels as they await decisions on their migration status, costing the taxpayer £4.7million a day." "reported that the annual cost of Britain's asylum system jumped by 56 per cent – £756million – to £2.1billion in 2021-22. The massive bill is largely driven by soaring numbers of asylum seekers receiving taxpayer-funded support, including accommodation. More than 116,000 were given hand-outs at the end of June, up 37 per cent in three months."

"From next November most British travellers to Europe will be required to pay for a European Travel Information and Authorisation System e-visa. This ‘Etias’ pass will cost £6, be valid for three years and must be purchased by anyone between 18 and 70. Under-18s and over-70s will be eligible for free passes. Visitors can complete it online and will be encouraged to do so 72 hours before travel, although in most cases it will be issued immediately on payment. More information at etias.com. LONGER QUEUES? The knock-on effect of Etias passes could be lengthy queues at border checks in Europe. A new Entry/Exit System (EES) is coming in to accompany the passes, designed to monitor movements of travellers from ‘third countries’, which Britain may be considered, having left the EU." www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-11586507/From-Americas-new-Esta-6-EU-pass-travel-rules-2023-NEED-know.html
