So what's your plans for Monday and Tuesday, and the forecast 40(ish) degrees ?
"So-called narrow boats" are not renowned as the ideal vessel for keeping cool ... any cunning wheezes ?

Luckily our office doesn't get the sun so remains comfortable in such conditions, the factory however will be extreme, they told the workers they can have an extra ten minute break, how nice of them.
I would have offered they work over a couple of days apart from Wednesday to make up the hours, but that would be too difficult for the arseholes who will working from home i have no doubt, power to the people!!

I've decided to stay where I am as I'm in the shade and I think Tixall will be pretty unbearable. I also think every other shady spot will have been blagged by now.
It is Aquarat on the next boat, strangely although I've met him before I didn't recognise him and he didn't recognise me.
Went to Penkridge market this morning which is excellent but spent waaay too much in about 10 minutes so had to flee. Penkridge seems like a nice place to stay for a few days apart from a complete absence of shops selling Perla Mocna, although perhaps I just haven't found it yet.

Working nights so will hopefully asleep.
My eldest is on work experience at the moment but they have given him Monday and Tuesday off. He's enjoyed working at Exbury gardens but he is in the sun all day.

We're in Lincoln & not planning to move til Wednesday.Verrrrry hot so have all fans etc on the go-which is why we took a mooring in Brayford poools(for the leccy)rather than visitor moorings. We did notice that there seemed to be more visitor moorings than 5 yrs ago. We're in our second pools mooring as during the day a plastic moored up behind us in moorings which are Lincoln boat club moorings rather than Brayford pools. He then started playing music at full blast,P asked him to turn it down but he turned it up.Turns out he does this a lot but Brayford are helpless as it's not their mooring & Lincoln boat club aren't interested.10/10 for the Brayford pools gal who sorted us out a different mooring, she was brilliant. There really are some nutters about,by all accounts Brayford have lost a couple of moorers because of this bloke.
