Maybee I'll go tattoo spotting .. u know similar to dolphin spotting but on dry land.... considering taking middle sized littliest human to the Lido today.. bound to be heaving with mountains of quivering flesh exposing all sorts of dodgy artwork.. She's here for the week. I'd rather head for the hills, however too hot for dogs in a car so early walk for the 2 canines(I will have daughters as well) and then I'll see.

Ready for the inferno. Will prob not be on TB for a few days as I think my laptop is going to die today so technical issues rather than a flounce if so. Have ordered a new one to pick up in Rugeley on the way through. Definitely time to think about going back to earn some brass.

THE prospect of a heatwave will force Britons to look at shit tattoos for the rest of the week and into the weekend. High temperatures are likely to result in tattooed people revealing thousands of Celtic bands, faded British bulldogs and embarrassing children’s names. Meteorologist Donna Sheridan said: “Coastal towns in the south of England can expect dolphins, badly-drawn images of Tweety Bird and ‘Carpe Diem’. “In the Midlands through to the North there will be outbreaks of barbed wire with roses, huge gothic script and the occasional scattered swastika. “Our advice is to protect yourself at all times with a high-factor sun cream smeared on your sunglasses so you can’t see these fucking abominations.” The record numbers of crap tattoos will reach as far north as the Shetlands, where forecasts predict unattractive mermaids that have grown strangely plump as their owners got fatter. Sheridan added: “These are highly unusual tattoo conditions. Yesterday I saw a guy with a huge tat of Green Day covering his back. Who would get that?” Foxy has hijacked your profile par chance?

Lots of boats going past us in Warwickshire. Maybe they are used to hot climates. We're under a tree so should get some shade. Thermometer reading is F Hot..

A lovely cool night and no nightmares 👍 Dropped into the basin quite early for services, and then a pleasant cruise out to a quiet spot ... decided against the Severn (quelle surprise 😎) in favour of a return trip. Moored and as cool as we can be now. Hope your customers keep passing you bottles of water quaysider ... going to be a hot slog up those locks but I guess nobody wants to pay for a hotel boat to sit still. Rog

Getting rather warm in the inner city boat. On the plus side the traffic was light as people seem to be avoiding travel. I will probably travel this evening though because I think this boat might be rather too warm later on. Its already HOT.
Bucket of cold water for the feet is the next thing to arrange.

Nice sea breeze wafting into the office.Nice day so far. Looks like the fog might come back in before the end of the day.

Bucket of cold water for the feet is the next thing to arrange. I have a pump rigged that sprays water over the deck .... just switch it on every now and again
