Having seen what goes on rather up close and personal with my two offsprings I can confirm that I specifically DO NOT want to have the right to have babies.
It looks like a really nasty job to me!

Spent part of my first winter on board 1994/95 on the Ashby. Quite liked the remoteness actually. It's a lovely canal ... but you need to be happy to walk. Very little is canalside. Rog

This was yars ago when I was young free single rich tall dark and handsome and reasonably fit.

Let me make sure I've got this right.
Tony Dunkley tells us not to post on the Ribble Link thread as our input is worthless so we stop posting on it, whereupon he follows us onto a thread about the Ashby Canal and simply carries on posting complete bollocks and trolling Rog with the same juvenile name-calling.
There's only one thing in common between the Ribble Link and the Ashby Canal Tony and that's that you need a boat to go on them.

Fairly predictable response to the Quick DIY history/intelligence Test for the thundergoons. The well named Twerp fails to score, . . Alice responds by thanking me for my concerns -- God only knows where that idea came from, . . and Shit-for-Brains can't even understand the question, or what it's about.
Would anyone else like a try ? Here's the question again : -
There have been no Northerley or Southerly winds of any strength for the last few days, . . and the stop lock at the Moira Cut End was dismantled long ago. What effect will this have on the water level in what is -- apart from the Lancaster Canal, with severely and unnecessarily restricted access only via the Ribble Link -- the longest pound on the whole canal network ?

Also when I was there in 1994/5 they had just done dredging and backfilled it on the towpath. One of the dredger crew blokes kindly informed me that he had seen a lot of coal come up during the works. On one of my walks with the dog I did indeed find some rather excellent pieces. Proper coal none of this modern shaped rubbish. Large lumps too big to go in the Arctic stove. they had to be split down with the axe. The smoke was wonderful.
I suppose some people find coal smoke upsetting but I much prefer it to the briquettes with filler and oil products.
Those were the days
innit

How longs someone got to attend this dump before getting a derogatory nickname from TD. Feeling a bit left out here. You can have one of mine if you like. I'd tell you which one but I'm much too polite and refined innit 🤘 Rog

How longs someone got to attend this dump before getting a derogatory nickname from TD. Feeling a bit left out here. It's not about length of service, you simply have to hold a different opinion to that of Tony Dunkley. I'm sure he would be only too pleased to give you a special moniker as this will likely draw ever more of his fan base towards the forum.

I have observed the "guests" and it is definitely crawlers. The program they are running is simply drawn to the site by the regularity of posting. I had been considering doing some flooding but I suspect it needs to be different people posting regularly. I do also think that due to the repetitive and slightly unoriginal nature of some of the posts by TonyDunkley that he might actually not be real. Technology is advancing so fast these days it is quite easy to deep fake this sort of thing, as Telemachus alluded to earlier.

What effect will this have on the water level in what is -- apart from the Lancaster Canal, with severely and unnecessarily restricted access only via the Ribble Link -- the longest pound on the whole canal network ? It's 'northerly' - my guess is that a wind from the south will push all the water up to the northern end, making the water deeper at the northern end, especially if The Moon is above. Here's another question: what has two heads, four eyes, and six legs?
